Longest you have ever played a sports game? Stuck
Posted on May 21, 2009 at 01:10 PM.
It's now May 21, and I'm still playing MLB 09: The Show strong. My pace is still about 1-2 games per day and it looks like I'm 100% for sure going to finish my first ever full season of a baseball game by playing every game in quite awhile.

I don't think I'm stopping anytime soon either. I may be playing The Show well into October. For a guy like myself, who reviews sports games, it's awful hard to stick to a game that long without getting fully distracted by other titles. So playing The Show strong for almost seven months is saying something.

But what about you? What is the longest you have ever played any sports game? I know the lifespan of sports games in my consoles is comparatively short to other folks'. How long has your longest 'relationship' with a game lasted?

The longest I ever played a game was when Madden 07 for the PS2 was out, and I never had money to get 08 until the day of the Super Bowl that year. I just kept u[dating the rosters manually, which was tedious, but effective. I finished three franchises with all 32 teams...

ISS Pro Evolution 2 and Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (my two favourites of the series). Literally, thousands of matchs and played well after the next chapter was out. I ran on PES3 a Master League for 10 straight seasons. How i miss the good old PES, damn Konami, damn, what the hell you did with your blue chip?

College Hoops 2k6-played 10 seasons, every game, except those that occasionally started in Black, which is about 5 games. I still play this title occasionally

College Hoops 2k8- Best BBALL title hands down. Im six seasons into a dynasty.

NFL 2k5- I play during the actual football season and complete 2 seasons. each year. still play.

NBA 2k9 pc version- 7 29 games seasons. hands down the most complete NBA game released by 2ksports. IMO, plays like the pro version of College Hoops, as far as intensity, and replay-ability. recently put the game away to focus on baseball.

MLB THE SHOW 07. 29 game seasons Im 5 seasons in. still play occasionally.

MLB 2k9 pc version-despite all the little issues, I find this game enjoyable and frustrating at the same time. Its easy to get a game in. atmosphere and presentation is top notch.
Im into my 2nd season on 52 game seasons.

MLB THE SHOW 09- Im playing a full 162 game season. 1 game a day. Im 45 games into my franchise. I find this game easier than MLB2k9. maybe thats because I have more wins.

I'm playing NFL Head Coach 09 about 10 hours per week since the day it went on sale in August. I'm in preseason for season number 6.

For current systems, definitely All Pro Football 2K8.

I don't play it anymore, but I did play it consistently from the day it came out 'til about a year-and-a-half later when I finally got my fill of it.

For older systems, probably Tecmo Super Bowl III: Final Edition on the SNES. The create-a-player kept my friends and I playing it through the majority of our childhood.

I use to play Madden 2005 from August to June of the next year, 6 hours a day.

I've been playing Tecmo Super Bowl on an off for the NES since it came out in November 1991. I recently downloaded an college version, which is awesome, called "Tecmo Rose Bowl 2" that I have been playing on an NES emulator.

I also played NBA Showdown alot on the SNES. That was the first NBA game that had every team, and allowed you to play a full 82 game season. I went 71-11 with the 1992-93 Phoenix Suns, and beat the Charlotte Hornets 4-1 in the NBA Finals.

FPS FB Pro 98 - played from 1997-2004. Current football games still don't have some of the features of that game, especially in the play creation / game plan area.

I've played all pro football since its release. I've never played any other game this long, ever.
