With the lies he gave to his superiors, he should be gone. The Affair has nothing to do with his job, or the performance his players maintain on the field. That's a homefront issue. His integrity and ethics depends on his vision and the school's vision.

The guy has always been a winning college football coach and a douschebag at the same time. Nothing new here really. Arkansas has exactly what they paid for. Petrino has no morals so why would they even add that clause? I wouldn't want this guy running my program but I don't see why Arkansas fires him now.

What most people fail to realize is that if Petrino stays, this WILL negatively impact recruiting for the next couple of years. A significant percentage of recruits' moms want to send their sons to a program where they perceive that their sons will be taken care of by a person of decent moral character. Arkansas will lose recruits, and in turn, lose more games. Better to cut him loose now.

Not true bigdoc. Not completely anyway. Most of the guys that they are expecting to get are saying they want him to stay. I think it will hurt recruiting if he gets fired. What he has brought to the program as far as wins, money and success will play a factor in keeping him. I'm not saying he shouldn't be fired but, as a Hog fan I hope he stays. And for all the talk about how bad of a guy he is. Look around at the teams that win. Not many "good" guys as the head coach. Saban is a jerk. He told everyone he wasn't going to Bama and then did just that. Auburn, Ohio St, USC all have either got into trouble or could be. Those great guys don't get the big time jobs normally. Again I'm not saying its right but, its easy to call Patrino names now but, he has not history of cheating when it comes to football. That's my two cents anyway.

One more thing. I also think if they fire Patrino we can get a good coach. The Arkansas job has become a good one. This is not a flash in the pan Louisville situation. Arkansas has a successful football tradition. The is a head coach at Ark St. that would be a good fit. Either way it goes. GO HOGS!
