The Redskins have signed QB Matt Gutierrez and TE Derek Schouman. Also the team has released FB Kevin Gidrey and QB Marc Verica, both of which were just camp bodies and long shots to even make the practice squad. The Redskins have claimed DE Doug Worthington off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Worthington was drafted back in the 7th-round of 2010 by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He has spent time on both the Steelers and Bucs practice squads, but has never appeared in a regular season game. He played at Ohio State where he helped the Buckeyes a top ten rush defense. The Redskins have released DT Joe Joseph and rookie LB Kyle O'Donnell. Also, the 'Skins have added LB Keyaron Fox. Joseph and O'Donnell were long shots to make the roster, and being cut this early shows you that they never really had a good chance. The Redskins have signed OT Sean Locklear. He has played his last six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He is a tackle capable of playing on both the left and right side of the line.
