The Washington Redskins announced today that they have placed WR Malcolm Kelly on the Reserved/Injured List. Kelly re-injured him hamstring out in Arizona during QB Donovan McNabb's Hell Week.
This is the second time he has been placed on IR due to hamstring injuries. Kelly would be entering his third season.
Kelly has been plagued with hamstring injuries ever since he arrived in Washington.
He has had a disappointing career because he was a former second-round draft pick with high expectations. His 6'4" frame and one of the best pair of hands in the NFL makes a lethal combination. That combination only works if Kelly is on the field. Sadly, he has only played in 21 games in his career.
Kelly joins WR Mike Furrey (concussion) on the Injured Reserve. G/T Mike Williams is on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list due to blog clots near his heart.

True, I thought he was going to be cut for sure. I wonder if Devin Thomas is going to get cut, apparently he's worried he might not make the cut. If he doesn't get cut, I hope he does well.

what a waste of draft pics for the skins. theirs a reason both these players fell to the 2nd round all thought i think Thomas makes the team and plays a lot of slot

Devin will probably make it, at least I hope he does. Malcolm had no chance unless he would have done phenomenal in Arizona. If I were coaching I would go: Moss, Armstrong, Thomas, Banks, Austin, Galloway.

It makes you wonder what would have happened if the 'Skins took DeSean Jackson instead of Thomas.

I couldn't be more disappointed that Malcolm won't play this year but it opens up a spot for one of the younger guys like Galloway to make the team :/

Since when is Galloway a younger guy? Haha, JK, but yeah it helps a Terrence Austin or Brandon Banks make the final roster.

I feel Banks made the big splash with the punt return but I feel Austin could be the better all around player, especially at WR.Glad you got the joke!

That's what I feel. Austin can be a reserve WR while Banks is a special teams player.

Plus Austin can return and cover kickoffs if necessary. I can't see Banks tackling anyone. Do you think they keep 5 or 6 WRs?

Shanahan usually keeps 5, but I say he keeps 6. Moss, Armstrong, Thomas, Galloway, Banks, and Austin. Galloway would be the first one off that list. If Austin doesn't make the team, I hope he clears waivers so he at least is on our PS.

I feel the same way. If it comes down to losing Austin I hope we find away to keep him and look at letting Galloway go. Youth movement

We have to get younger and with trading our draft picks away each year that gets more difficult
