Redskins Place WR Kelly on Injured Reserve

The Washington Redskins announced today that they have placed WR Malcolm Kelly on the Reserved/Injured List. Kelly re-injured him hamstring out in Arizona during QB Donovan McNabb's Hell Week.

This is the second time he has been placed on IR due to hamstring injuries. Kelly would be entering his third season.

Kelly has been plagued with hamstring injuries ever since he arrived in Washington.

He has had a disappointing career because he was a former second-round draft pick with high expectations. His 6'4" frame and one of the best pair of hands in the NFL makes a lethal combination. That combination only works if Kelly is on the field. Sadly, he has only played in 21 games in his career.

Kelly joins WR Mike Furrey (concussion) on the Injured Reserve. G/T Mike Williams is on the Reserve/Non-Football Illness list due to blog clots near his heart.

I agree but we still did it again this year for Donovan and Jamal. Granted I feel they were worth it versus Jason Taylor etc... but still no 2nd, 3rd or 4th picks next year.

Yeah, we need every pick we can get our hands on but i heard they just drafted 2 TEs in STL so I doubt he makes it. What do you know about the guy we traded for Hall?

He was a 5th rounder, 4-3 end/3-4 OLB. Very raw and athletic. 6'5" 270ish. Good pass rusher. We got him for a conditional pick (just like DMo)

270 is BIG for an OLB. If he can run he might work well for a replacement for Andre Carter when he is done playing. I like Alexander alot but I don't think he can cover a rb or te

But I have no idea how good Davis is...He was one game to prove it, maybe a PS. I doubt he makes the final 53. He does have 2 sacks so far for St. Louis in 3 games.

2 sacks in 3 games is encouraging. He'll play against Arizona on thursday I'm sure. Let's hope he does well

I'm rooting for him! I was also rooting for Morris after his YouTube clips, but he never saw the field in preseason.
