The BES Report


Most casual and hardcore pro football fans look to weekly power rankings as a way to gauge the performance of their favorite NFL team(s) in comparison to the other franchises. There is an abundance of options available when it comes to power rankings/polls and the vast majority of them are subjective and based almost entirely on the opinion of the author.

As of Week 5 the BES is 29-16 (.644) in predicting the outcome of games. That’s not a bad percentage considering that a 64% win rate over the course of a 16-game season equals 10 wins, good enough for a wildcard berth in the postseason.
