This is my new lineup. As you can see, a lot of new guys. Cap room is an issue. I just signed Doughty and Quick, and they are both at around 11M deals. So the younger guys are now taking over. Many have developed well, and the guys who are just 83 overall are usually strong defensively. I have a lot of hope in Baptiste, I feel he can be a star for my team. Also Kobasew is a big body PWF who can be an effective 3rd line player. Quick is now 97 overall and a start goaltender, leading the team to their 2nd Stanley Cup last season. I am now going to play this season, without simulating. I am not going to focus so much on draft picks now. However, I did trade away people like Mike Richards and others for picks. I needed the cap space and wanted younger guys>older ones.

Thanks, go on ahead if you want =p. I don't know if I should keep doing a game summary after every game or not, may be a waste of time... but oh well. I guess it gives a me a little break in between lol

How goes the season?

I posted it in the other forum pages, I didn't feel like up****** this haha. But we finished first in the West, I simulated after playing 23 games. We played Nashville in the first round, but right before the first round, Quick and Doughty both were injured. Then during the first against Nashville, Kopitar was injured. So my top 3 players. I ended up falling 3-2 in the series ( I played all of this one). Game 6 came and it went into 5 overtimes, and I scored on a powerplay with 5.5 seconds left. I won game 7 then. I simulated most of the other playoffs and then in the finals we played Toronto and won in 6 games. It was a repeat year after winning the cup last year. My AHL team also made it to the finals but they were swept in 4 games.

Also, right when I started simming after 23 games, Erik Karlsson was put on waivers for some reason, so I had to pick him up. Due to cap space and such, I decided to just trade him away. I traded him for Jurco on Detroit who is 88 overall sniper, Gentile a 73 overall A- B- B- defensemen and a first and second. During the off season, I released Dustin Brown, the captain. He was D- potential and I just didn't have the cap space. I also signed an 84 overall offensive defensemen. He has A- B- C potential, and I will use him for his offensive capabilities. I got rid of Austin Smith as my backup. Par Nickulas is now 85 overall and still has high potential, so he should be just as good as Smith next year. Also Quick is my main goalie and has a long contract, so I will be keeping him as starter. He is 99 overall too. Kobasew the 6'4" 244 lb PWF is now 80 overall. He only went up 1 overall for some reason, so I hope he grows more this season. He has A- B- C potential I think.Defense is mostly the same except for the guy I signed, so I can put him in or Pokka. My offense is now Yakupov, Kopitar and Baptiste (85 overall) on the first line. Second line is Jurco, Carnevale and Ohlund (80 overall PLY with good potential but is injured atm so Kobasew is replacing him. Third and fourth lines are mostly the same except those are guys I sometimes swap in and out. My team is pretty solid though.
