Our first round matchup is vs the Philadelphia 76ers. Their starters for this series is PG Chris Roberts, SG Clay Thompson, SF Evan Turner, PF Lavoy Allen, C Antonio Jackson. Not very scary at first glance but the most dangerous part of Philadelphia is the production and talent on the bench, Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist, "Super" Mario Bethea, and Fabricio Oberto are very dangerous young players waiting to get a cance to show what they got on the big stage against the champs.

As usual Kevin Durant will be looked at to set the tone for the game with his playmaking and of course his scoring prowess but 1st team all NBA center Dre Redd will also need to assert himself early and often to make this series as painless as possible. Jerome Sims has a fantastic shooter in Thompson he has to chase off screens and keep in check for the series if he can do that I can't see the Sixers winning more than 1 game in this series.

My Predictions: Cavs in 5!

After a great ending to game 1 with Packett hitting the game winning basket as time expired we laid an egg in game 2 to head to Philly tied 1 game up. The usual adjustments will be made to ensure victory in the next 2 games. See you in Philly!

After many seasons of futility the fans of Cleveland finally have something to smile about! After a season opening win @ Brooklyn the Cavs come home to what will be expected to be a mob scene at Quicken Loans Arena for a chance to witness history in the making...ring night in Cleveland!!

Let's not forget there is a game to be played tonight people, the Pistons bring the big three of Andre Drummond, Justin Washington, and Ahmad Harmon into town to do battle with KD and
the rest of the defending NBA champions. Not playing in tonights game is the #1 overall pick Jermaine Harrison who Detroit acquired in a draft day deal, the Pistons have alot of weapons but I don't think it's gonna be enough to stop a motivated Cleveland team on a national stage

POTG: Kevin Durant 26pt 5rb 3as stl

Final: Detroit (107) Cleveland (111)

First order of business after popping champange was to wait and see if Finals MVP Kevin Durant would opt in to his contract for one more year at 24M. And to everyone's surprise KD signed the deal and know look forward to sign an extension to stay in Cleveland for the near future.

One of my keys to my offseason was to upgrade the backup point guard position and find a capable backup for Dre Redd. Also there's a great chance I'm not gonna be able to re-sign Okan Mansiz for the money he's gonna command so it's time to look for another sniper, Parker has been good but he's always injured.

After my finals series with the Hornets I find myself in love with backup point guard Crys Carter so the trade machine starts!!

*** Cleveland Cavaliers trades Center J.P Brown and Point Guard Deonte Burton to New Orleans Hornets for Point Guard Crys Carter ***

Carter is a true point guard that can hit an open jumpshot, which he will have plenty of opportunities to do in our offensive scheme! Trade Rating A-

Team Picks: #20

Draft Plans: Backup Center, Swing man Three Point Specialist

Potential Targets: SG Jerry Townsend-GT, SF James Scott-Louisville, SF Preston Jennings-LSU, SF Shawn Wright-WSU, C Jeremy Carter-Wisconsin, C Stevie McKinnie-MSU

#1 Pick

Jermaine Harrison Oklahoma
NBA position: SG
Class: Junior
Ht: 6’4”
Wt: 206
Key Stats:
19.7 ppg – 2.6 rpg –
2.0 apg – 1.9 spg
Sapp Score: A

Predicted Draft Range: Top Five
Awards/Accolades: 2018 All Freshman Team, 2020 First Team All American
Pre-Draft Tournament Statistics: Click Here
Strengths: One of the best at creating his on shot and best ball handler at the position. Marvelous mid range jumper even off the dribble. Excellent athlete. Decent on ball defender. Extremely quick.
Weaknesses: A little undersized. Doesn't always seem to put his all in to the game all of the time. Gets tired fast and will have to really work to get used to extended minutes in the NBA.
Overall: Jermaine Harrison is a bit of a mixed bag. He is really a great player and has been more than productive during his three years as a Sooner. Harrison has shown that he can pretty much score whenever he wants. Harrison is though, a little undersized and puts forth effort that doesn't seem to be 100 percent. Harrison had some games that he just seemed to take off or not be interested. Still, Harrison just has talent that is too good for anyone to pass up.
NBA Comparison: James Harden
What We Know: Close Shot (80 – 84), Off Hand Dribbling (74 – 78), Shoot Off Dribble (77 – 81), On Ball Defense (69 – 73), Hustle (68 – 72)

Memphis has been having a hard time Keeping players healthy and it's costing them wins and talent in the process. Harrison was not the ideal pick in the current situation but I can see Memphis looking at his scoring ability in the Grind House as a good change of pace.

Our Pick: #20

Stevie McKinney Michigan State
NBA position: C
Class: Sophomore
Ht: 6’11”
Wt: 253
Key Stats:
14.2 ppg – 6.1 rpg
Sapp Score: C+
Projected Draft Range: Mid to Late First Round
Awards/Accolades: None
Pre-Draft Tournament Statistics: Click Here
Strengths: Very skilled in the post. Can overpower players but has a repertoire of moves down low. Also has a mid range jumper he can pull out occasionally.
Weaknesses: Struggles to get up and down the court at times. Athletic centers will give him a really hard time.
Overall: What can ya say about Stevie McKinney. He came in right after William Cross and although he didn't put up the numbers that Cross did, he made sure that Michigan State didn't really miss a beat at the center position. McKinney is honestly one of the most skilled offensive post players in the draft even at only twenty years of age. I really feel that he has the potential to get better and I only see two guys at the position that are definitely better than this guy.
NBA Comparison: Pau Gasol
What We Know: Low Post Offense (73 – 78), Quickness (45 – 50), Inside Shot (86 – 91)

Picking up a talent of this caliber after trading away a center in the offseason to upgrade my point guard position is definite a great move. He won't have to play big minutes with Redd in the fold but when he gets on the floor WATCH OUT 2nd team big men!

Free Agency

SG Erik Parker, PF Brevin Givens signed offer sheets
C Omer Asik, SF Jevon Jordan, C Darryl Houston signed FA deals terms undisclosed

Sitting in the Cavs locker room in preparation for what most people believe will be the coronation of the new kings of the NBA. Durant signed in the summer of 2016 and he promised to bring a championship to this great city but 2 years of early round exits left critics wondering aloud if Kevin Durant and this staff could deliver that ever elusive NBA championship. KD finals statline reads 24pts 7rb 5as in 3 games...he looks ready to add ring #2 to his legacy and maybe help propel one of Clevelands young stars into elite status all in one fell swoop.

When asked if he would accept his 24 mil player option next year or opt out and become a free agent Durant calmly replied "We still have a little piece of business called the NBA finals..that's my focus right now, everything else is secondary." Cleveland has an opportunity of a lifetime tonight folks! Game 4..Quicken Loans Arena...NBA Finals....KD....Redd...Packett...Destiny!!

Posted on July 15, 2013 at 10:26 PM.
New Orleans came into tonight's game down 2 games to none with three straight games in Quicken Loan Arena. They really need to re-evaluate their offensive and defensive sts because coach Dreece has created a masterful attack so far that has put his players in position to do what they do best...make plays!

This finals series has provided many stories up to this point but the action on the court has been kind of lopsided. Kareem Packett has struggled a bit in the playoffs, this being his 1st season as lead guard it raised some eyebrows but in game 3 the megastar Cleveland was banking on when they traded Kyrie Irving came out with a vengence!! 10pts 5reb 17ast 5stl and a block later it was evident that not even arch rival John Wall could keep K-Pack from getting wherever he wanted to on the floor tonight and the Cavalier shooters where primed and ready when they received those passes.

As usual the Cavs had 6 player scoring in double figures led by Kevin Durant's 28 and Dre Redd's 21 points. We asked coach Dreece about his teams performance and he had these words for us "Domination!! When you shoot 65% from the floor and make 9/13 from deep there aren't many teams that will be able to compete with us. One more to go!"

Despite superb efforts from Eric Gordon(35pts 7 ast) and John Wall(14pts 7reb 11ast) the Hornets don't stand a snowballs chance in hell to win a game in this series if Andrew Bynum(9pts 5reb 2to) keeps sleep walking through te NBA finals...It may already be over

Final Score Cleveland Cavaliers 120 New Orleans Hornets 103

Kareem Packett POTG 10p 5r 17a 1s 1b

Returning to the scene of the crime is usually is not advised but the Cleveland Cavs confidence must be through the roof knowing that if they can put on a similar show 2 games in a row that it might spell disaster for the Hornets championship ambitions. Eric Gordon came out firing in tonights game just in case there was a doubt about his skill and confidence.

Gordon torched the Cavs defenders to the tune of 35pts and Anthony Davis chipped in with 18pts and 6 boards but without Andrew Bynums production from the pivot the Hornets don't have that same sting that led them to the best record in the western conference during the regular season and 1st 2 rounds of the playoffs.

Clevelands offensive attack at this point of the season is best described as "POTENT!" Seven players in double figures in a road playoff game is virtually unheard of, but when you realize that this is the NBA Finals...it's an even more impressive feat. Watching Cleveland running and gunning you would think their defense would be a weakness...nope, they rotated well, clogged passing lanes and played great positional defense. Rookie big man Dre Redd had his best playoff performance of his short career (17pts 14reb 4ast st blk). Sharpshooter Okan Mansiz lit up the 3 point line like the fourt of July scoring 14pts in only 11 mins off the bench. Stephen Braithwaite's range is really killing the Hornets defense schemes as he's dragging arguably the leagues best shot blocker out to an area where he's noticeably uncomfortable. But the piece that makes this all possible is the man they call Durantula!! No look is a bad look when you shooting the ball like he is and his total game is shining just as bright as his shooting numbers. Just barely missing a triple double (29pts, 9reb, 8ast) KD is cementing his legacy in Cleveland as maybe the best Cav ever!! Even surpassing dare I say it Lebron James!! 2 more wins and the city will embrace him like LB23 never has!!

Kevin Durant knows this is his chance for him to finalize his legacy in Cleveland. Either he brings them the championship management envisioned when he was signed in the summer of 2016 or he might be looking to free agency at seasons end. But his teammates have an idea what they want and it showed with Cleveland playing sting defense and sniper like shooting from Durant and Jerome sims early on.

The new orleans Hornets veteran leaders(Andrew Bynum, Eric Gordon) struggled mightily going 4-13 combined for a paltry 8 points. Their 1st half efforts in this game has to be alarming to the head coach...adjustments are needed ASAP!

The 2nd half was no easier to watch for the Hornets fans, team leading scorer Eric Gordon couldn't find the range tonight thanks in part to the defense of Jerome Sims and a few key possessions by Durant. Sims had himself a pretty good night on the offensive end of the floor to match his lockdown defensive output scoring 19 pts.

Overall Cleveland shot 53% from the field and forced 16 Hornet to's in tonights match but it was league MVP Kevin Durant who set the tone for what was tonights blowout victory for the Cavs in game 1. "We have guys in position to make plays and we're not letting those opportunities slip by" Quoted Durant when he was aked about Clevelands wide open offensive style. Six players in double figures will go a long way toward becoming virtually untouchable in this series.

Final Score: 112-85 cleveland Cavaliers

Small markets stand up! The good thing about videgames is that we are not held to the same standard as our real life GM counterparts. I mean truthfully I'm making it rain like Pacman Jones in a strip club. And the fans of Cleveland are estatic to be part of the winning conversation for once.

It was once said by a wise man that you can't win in NBA2k without a good veteran presence and those words were the driving force behind this seasons incredible play. Kareem Packett finally released from Kyrie Irvings shadow showed that he can be a good lead guard in the NBA by keeping all his team mates happy with precision passing and a swagger that coach Dreece hasn't seen in a long.....long... time.
Speaking of happy league MVP Kevin Durant must be stoked when he looks around the Cavs locker room, young studs abound that love to share the ball and play hyper aggressive defense. This team was built to not only win but to absolutely annihilate the NBA for years to come. All eyes are clearly focused on the Cavaliers and their great group, hopefully we can keep rolling for four more games` and bring that O' Brien trophy home to the city of Cleveland.

New Orleans clearly wants to win this season. The acquisition of John Wall and Andrew Bynum show proof to that`but the head honcho on this team is still Eric Gordan. His 20ppg in the playoffs can't be ignored by Cleveland or they might be up for the fight of their lives. Anthony Davis is in a contract year and it's believed league wide that he wants to be the #1 option but sadly to say it most likely will be somewhere else unless he has a monster series. Xavier Henry has a nightmare job in front of him trying to check KD for a whole series is gonna take a herculian effort.

This series just have the Cleveland Cavaliers all over it, if they keep turnovers to a minimum I can't see the Hornets having enough sting to take down the mighty Cavs

GM Prediction

when we last left off the dynasty I was making an attempt to solidify my talented squad as an central division power. having to deal with Derrick Rose early on made me realize that is was going to take a special group of guys to take the Cavs where they need to be as a team. My plans was to just play playoff games until i draft in Draft Class 6(2020 season). But with a firm grasp of scouting and so many good talents available I put my GM hat on and went all the way in!!

The 2019 season has been nothing short of magical. Players accepted their roles and furiously stomped their way through the regular season posting 60 wins(all simulated)led by league MVP Kevin Durant. "We had a few early exits the last couple of seasons and we know we are a better team than that, so I attended the draft so I could meet our young guys first hand" KD quoted during a recent radio interview. It's that type of attention to detail that has Cleveland in a position to make history this season Coach Dreece has to be commended for how he's handled the rotation, conducted practices, and managed the teams many egos

As you can see it's alot of talent here in Cleveland now. How far they go is up to them.

Getting ready for this playoff series Coach Dreece had one thing on his mind and that was to take his Cleveland Cavaliers on a deep playoff and to cement himself as on of the upper echelon coaches in our league. But what happened in this playoff series is summed up in one word "Disappointing". All season long the Cavs has stepped up and delivered when called into battle but this series just looked a little to hostile for the young Cavs. Deron Williams won the matchup at the point with Kyrie irving in this series and Marshon Brooks lit Justin Washington up one too many times for my liking.

Reporter: Coach another season another early exit where do you go now?

Dreece: Well I'm furious that we lost as the #1 seed in the 1st round! Let me start by saying that. Brooklyn played a hell of a series...we just didn't make enough clutch plays to win this series

R: With your current roster loaded with young talent do you envision a trade or shuffling some pieces around so you can take that next step? Mainly Lebron James is a free agent after the season...what do you think about bringing him back to Cleveland?

D: I can't speak on individual players yet because they are still under contract. But we are going to do whatever it takes to get the players we need to fit our system. We have a few options to explore but without a doubt we will return next season strong as ever!

The Cavs had a turn around season like no other..after many years in the lottery the youthful Cavaliers command the #1 seed throughout the Eastern Conference playoffs

First round matchup with the Nets isn't gonna be a easy 1-8 matchup like in years past. Wjen healthy the Nets are a very formidable team lead by star guard Deron Williams. But the Cavs seem confident in their ability to lock teams down when they want and feel the Nets will be no different over the course of this series.

My Prediction Cavs win series 4-1
Posted on May 15, 2013 at 03:51 AM.

Yet another big test for Kyrie and co. as we take our talents to OKC to face off with the thunder. Earlier in the season OKC wiped the floor with the Cavs in our own building and pretty much made it a necessity that Byron Scott be replaced and to send the franchise in a new direction.

Pregame Analysis

Coming into the game superstar PG Russell Westbrook has average 23pts 5reb 6ast and 2.5 steals on 53% fg from the field. In his prior matchup vs the Cavs Westbrook dominated the show on offense going off for 31pts and 8 dimes on 13-16 shooting in 31 mins.

But this time around scoring machine Kevin Durant will be unavailable to play in tonight's game because of a hamstring injury and he will be sorely missed. His 33pts 12reb and 2blk in the previous matchup help set the tone for what turned out to be a rout from the tip.

Irving admittedly had an underwhelming game in the last matchup and he's eagerly waiting for his chance at redemption in this matchup of young dynamic point guards. "If we can limit turnovers and keep Westbrook in front of us we have a great chance in this game if we don't then we can expect to lose as badly as we did before" Irving was quoted at practice.

Lets get down to the sideline for intros and the starting lineups

Game Film

Sorry for the delay of this update I've been hard at work getting our draft class project complete I didn't get a chance to put out this update. None of the less I will be resuming my association tonight in the 1st round of the playoffs. Thanks guys and see you at the playoffs!

What a way to jump off the second half of the season! We have the 2nd place team in the west hosting the 2nd place team of the east in a battle that will help determine if either of these teams are championship caliber.

The Hornet's struck gold in the 2012 draft getting two cornerstone pieces for the franchise along with team captain Eric Gordon this team has performed well beyond most expectations and look to be a dangerous team moving forward in the future.

Tristan Thompson has had a steady season despite the early season injuries. His defensive prowess has been welcomed back with open arms and finally the quartet of Noah, Thompson, Varejao, and Latimer are healthy at the same time...look out!!

Enough of the intro lets see some of those Honeybees!! Then on to tip-off!

Maaaannn our starting back court was missed today but the duo of Kareem Packett and Shabazz Muhammad picked up the slack offensively and defensively. Games like this are very important for the growth of the young Cavaliers as a unit and also gives coach Dreece the confidence in his entire squad to make a big play offensively when needed

New Orleans big 3 of Austin Rivers, Anthony Davis, and Eric Gordon has been terrorizing opponents all season and the torture did not stop here folks!

Gordon and Rivers went off for 60 on the depleted Cavs back court and they needed every point of it because the Hornets got down early and needed points in bunches to get back into the game. Davis made it difficult to get clean lanes to drive through in the 2nd half to help spear head the comeback.

This tug of war had to end but the ending left fans a little dejected and wanting another shot at the upstart Cleveland Cavaliers.

Post game analysis

Tonight the Cavs proved that they can beat the elite of the NBA and they way they did it was very impressive. Playing not just short handed but when those players are your best player and the leading rookie off the year candidate in Kyrie Irving and Justin Washington that feat is magnified even more. Kyrie is due back any day now and JoJo is out for another week but if the Cavs can play like this I can't see nothing from keeping them from attaining the #1 seed and home court advantage during the eastern conference playoffs.

Next game up ...

#1 ranked OKC see you there!!
