I agree the player models are too big

are you serious? are you really that stupid? idk if you ever watched an NBA game, but different areans don't looks exactly the same. Each arena has a different broadcast camera view for the game, the arenas are not built the same way. like for example Phoenix has really high camera view so it looks like the court is really big, or Golden State has a low camera broadcast for the game, so it looks different. as for the pictures above, Boston's court is different from the one in Miami... so that article is pointless..

I hear you. For the first time ever, I'm just not excited about 2K13 (yet, anyway...). If the biggest feature that's been announced so far is the All-Star Weekend, then count me out. Hoping to hear more about Association, My Player and the Online soon. I hate how there are so many intriguing games coming out this Fall/Winter.

the two LeBron's have the same height (use your fingers to measure), but the 2kLeBron is more large than the real LeBron, it's evident in the picture/video and this is certainly not a problem of different camera view.

I noticed...

The models for the players are a little oversized (in thickness), and I'm sure 2K has heard these complaints for a long time now. I think it's just the way the game is built, they can't really do them much any thinner. The way I see it, everybody's thicker than what they are in real life when it comes to NBA 2K games, so I just accept it for what it is. It shouldn't be a hindrance in terms of gameplay, as long as they work on floor spacing.

I don't man, it seems everything is in proportion since the 2k screenshot seems to be a closer camera angle so players should seem bigger.

Nice read dude.... I agree with you.... I love 2k basketball games, and not knocking them for what they do....BUT, slimming down the players would make the game amazing for real.... No game will ever be perfect, but the can be GREAT, and with the steps 2k's taking GREATNESS isn't that far away.... Slim the players down 2k...

I think a lot of this has to do with the uniform technology/animations. I've yet to see a sports video game capture uniform fit (design is a completely different animal for another time) perfectly. The Show does a really good job for baseball. But for the 2k basketball series, its like there's some sort of boundary between the player and the uniform he is wearing.

Definatly agree! Seems like all sports games have this problem. Going to far with size so they can show the level of detail they've added to the players but the problem as you've already stated is they are forgetting that … size matters lol!
