Re: Draft, Transfer, W editor help

I haven't tried this yet but I'm going to. I'm still in the offseason at the conference screen after cutting players (I couldn't cut or change positions, my game kept crashing, even the editor couldn't get around it but it was fine after I simmed). In the Player Unknowns tab you see PLFL true freshman have 0, almost all other players have 28 but transfers have the number 10 attached to them. I'm going to try, with a separate save, to move them to 28 to see if that removes the transfer tag.

Re: Draft, Transfer, W editor help

I don't know if you figured it out already but the game opens up only so many transfers so what you have to do is follow the initial process of changing their values like the initial poster made but you also need to change the values of those who were going to transfer but now shouldn't. In other words, the game is going to decide how many players transfer that year, 110, 113, so only that number of players can actually transfer. If you want certain players to transfer you can but they must be in place of someone who is already slated to transfer which consequently means you need to change that player's values as well so they are no longer transferring. Also in the PLSS screen and Tran screen you have to match up the names, you probably know that but just trying to cover all bases. I have a theory I'm going to test on taking off the transfer tag. I'll post to see if it works.

Re: Draft, Transfer, W editor help

I figured out a simple way to manually move a player to another team in the offseason. It’s easier than the transfer stuff. Plus you don’t have to remove a player from the team you are transferring to. Do it before the cut players phase.

Care to share the steps on how you made this happen?

Re: Draft, Transfer, W editor help

Ok. Here are the steps. Let me know if you have any questions.

- sim to recruiting phase in off season
- open the DB editor and go to Player Data tab
- go to player info tab and sort by player id

Find the team you want to transfer to in the team id column. There will be many players with team id = 1023 that are still on a team. These are players that will not play next year (seniors). Find one who's player id is not already taken by another player (you will understand when you look at the player ID column). Change your player's player id to one of these senior's id because that senior will not be on the team anymore.

After you finish with Player Info tab, go to player stats and player unknowns tabs, and change your player id to the new id.

EDIT:
Forgot a couple of things. You also need to change the team for your player to the new team in the team columns for each tab (Player Info, Player Stats, Player Unknowns)
Your player will not sit out a year because this isn't a typical way the game transfers players.
Your player could possibly get cut in the cut players phase. Your player is basically now on the new roster and will follow all steps/processes that any other player follows on that team. The game will cut players and set depth charts. No need to do anything else.

RECAP:
6 pieces of data need modifying. 3 player_ids and 3 team_ids. 2 in each tab.

Re: Draft, Transfer, W editor help

Question: I changed the draft projections for some of the players, however how do I edit the post draft position ranking ?

Thanks for this! I'm about to begin the offseason in my dynasty so I'll give this a shot and will report back.
