Best version for sim only

So I've pretty much committed to sim only at this point. What are you guy's thoughts on what would be the best version for just building the team and simming the games? It could be PS2/Xbox OR PS3/X360. I know some games had gameplay quirks that people hated but I wouldn't have to worry about those so...

For me, I'd do NCAA Football 12 on the PS4/XBOX 360. It's a more in-depth scouting than NCAA 14 but also more polished than some of the older games.

I tried NCAA 11 & 12 on PS3/360. the recruits are terrible in 11. Can't remember 12 but the recruiting process is just too tedious on both. I actually don't mind the point system that we came to love back on PS2... Which is what 14 made a return to.

I'm almost a decade in on 2004 and 06 dynasties currently
