I hope there's an update regarding ratings of some fighters. Some ratings are off and inaccurate, definitely holes in the rating system. Or even added moves for fighters to differentiate them from others who has similar striking and grappling style.
Here are my ideas and suggestions regarding ratings and added moves. You might agree or disagree, open for discussion.
[]MOVES SET[]
Certain moves needs to be added or taken away from certain fighters. Alot of fighters with similar styles fight the same. And we need individuality to have a more realistic feel to it and adds variety to the game.
Frank Mir has a Muy-Thai striking style but he also has the Ducking Hooks from the Boxing style.
Wanderlei Silva also has Muy-Thai base but should have Ducking Hooks aswell. Hes known for devastating KO power with his hands. Ducking hooks would be a perfect fit. He loves throwing barrage of hooks against his opponent.
Wanderlei Silva
Add: Ducking Hooks & Lunging Hooks (Boxing)
Remove: Flying Knee
H. Alexander
Add: Clinch Range Uppercuts (Boxing) & Uppercuts from Single Collar Tie
Remove: Flying Knee
Gabriel Gonzaga
James Irvin
Add: Superman Punch (K. Boxing)
Remove: Flying Knee
Rich Franklin
Add: Head Kick with strong leg (à la J. Koscheck, R. Evans) - He's a Southpaw and usually does his high kicks with his left leg. But there isn't a southpaw stance in the game so the right leg will do.
Nate Marquardt
Add: Head Kicks & Flying Knee
BJ Penn
Add: Flying Knee
Dan Henderson
Add: Spinning Backhand (Kick Boxing)
Anderson Silva
Add: Kick counter punch (à la Forrest Griffin)
Major Transition from full mount defense (Judo) - where you hook the opponent's arm with your leg transition
Lyoto Machida
Add: Clinch range Dodge Knee to the body (Muy-Thai)
Drop to sidecontrol Takedown (Wrestling)
Horizontal Elbows (Muy-Thai) ground striking instead of Hammerfists
[]SIGNATURE MOVES[]
Out of all the fighters Lyoto Machida needs a Signature Move. Hes a unique fighter in real-life but in the game seems basic and plain. He needs more variety in his arsenal. Maybe a counter attack or a Karate kick and a takedown slam.
He needs a move that emphasize his elusive counter striking.
Punch:
-Counter Punch Straight Punch
Kick:
-Combination Karate Kick - two kicks executed in succession by both feet.
Takedowns:
BJJ has limited takedowns (pull to open guard only). Machida has a signature Foot Sweep which he uses on occasion against his opponents.
Foot Sweep - it is commonly used in Karate. Similar to the Leg Trip from Judo but the tripping leg is placed behind the opponent's foot instead of in between the legs.
Alot of BJJ fighters uses the foot sweep takedown. They should add this move to all fighters that has BJJ since they only have one takedown move.
[]DISCIPLINE CHANGE[]
Nate Marquardt: Boxing -> Kick Boxing
Ben Saunders: Kick Boxing -> Muy-Thai
Yushin Okami: Boxing -> Kick Boxing
Cheick Kongo: Kick Boxing -> Muy-Thai
[]RATINGS[]
I noticed some fighters are underrated in some aspect of their ratings. For example Wanderlei Silva's Standing Strikes Offense is a 71 which is way too low for him. He is known for his devasting KO power with his hands. I would raise that anywhere from 85-90.
Wanderlei Silva
Standing Strikes Offense: 71 ^ 85-90
Lyoto Machida
Standing Striking Offense: 53 ^ 65-70 (Not alot of power behind those punches but highly effective pinpoint accuracy striking and has KOd 2 undefeated fighters recently)
Takedown Offense: 62 ^ 75-80
(Trains in Sumo, has good takedowns)
Takedown Defense: 74 ^ 80-85
(Lyoto has faught top elite wrestlers and no one seem to be able to take him down)
Shogun Rua
SSOff: 57 ^ 70-75
SSDef: 50 ^ 80 (why so low he hasn't been KOd)
Dan Henderson
SSDef: 60 ^ 80-85 (hard chin never been KOd)
Chuck Liddell
SSOff: 82 ^ 85-90
SSDef: 80 v 60-70 (good counter striker but been knockdown or KOd in his last 5 fights)
Anderson Silva
SubOff: 75 ^ 80-85
Brandon Vera
SSOfff: 56 ^ 60-65
SubOff: 59 ^ 70-75
Nate Marquardt
Standing Kicks Offense: 52 ^ 70-75
James Irvin
SSOff: 72 ^ 75-80
W. Gouveia
SSOff: 66^70-75
SubOff: 92
SubDef: 87 (sub game seems overrated but he do have heavy hands)
Joe Lauzon
SSOff: 55 ^ 65-70
Some Fighters have an overrated Standing Strikes Offense. Sean Sherk for example has a SSOff rating of 81 now I don't think I've ever seen Sherk knockdown or KO anybody in his fights.
Sean Sherk
SSOff: 81 v 65
BJ Penn
SSOff: 92 v 80-85
SubOff: 83 ^ 90
Michael Bisping
SSOff: 85 v 70-75
Standing Kicks Offense: 62 ^ 70-75
J. Koscheck
SSOff: 85 v 70-75
SSDef: 85 v 60-65 (His chin has been tested and exploited, I don't understand why its so high)
Rich Clementi
SSOff: 85 (WOW) v 60-65
Submission Offense: 63 ^ 75-80
Tyson Griffin
SSOff: 82 v 65-70
OVERRATED:
Frank Mir 91 (85-88) hes a monster in the game
Rashad Evans 93 (high 80s at most a 90) Hes not on par with Machida & A. Silva
Kenny Florian 92 (high 80s at most a 90)
Sean Sherk 91 (high 80s)
Tyson Griffin 90 (high 80s)
Matt Serra 89 (common I know he beat GSP but an 89 is too high for him, I would say around 80-85)
Ben Saunders 85 (low 80s)
Antoni Hardonk 84 (70s)
Justin McCully 81 (70s)
UNDERRATED:
Mirko CroCop (83) and Keith Jardine (79) needs a rating boost . I mean Anthony Hardonk has an 84 rating who is a lower tier fighter compared to those two.
Shogun 87 (atleast a 90)
Keith Jardine 79 (atleast an 85)
Mirko CroCop 83 (high 80s)
Brandon Vera 84 (high 80s)
Mike Swick 83 (atleast an 85) Top contender at the welterweight condition.
Stephen Bonnar 80 (85 the most)
Joe Lauzon 82 (atleast an 85) underrated SSOff and ground striking. Hes a GnP type fighter with good subs.
And also might not be fix from the update but maybe in the next installment but UFC should include a Southpaw Stance for fighters who are lefty, Anderson Silva, Kenny Florian, Lyoto Machida, Rich Franklin, Diego Sanchez, Spencer Fisher to name a few. Maybe even signature stances would be nice.
