I think so. I'm not sure if this is accurate but i think I remember watching a video about Professor X replacing Hulk in the story.

That is awesome if true, though I wonder how much they could pull from the comics. Obviously some characters wouldn't fit due to movie studio licensing/rights ownership conflicts. If they could keep the spirit of that story intact though, damn, with the R rating and freedom to do Wolverine violence right (Finally), we could have a great one on our hands here.
