Conference Realingnment

So far here is what I plan on doing. I will consider moving in a couple Teambuilder squads also, most notably Appalachian State.

Pac 10 -
In: Colorado & Utah
Out: Stanford & Washington State

Big Ten -
In: Nebraska & Notre Dame
Out: Minnesota & Indiana

Big Twelve -
In: I was considering moving in Minnesota. If someone creates an authentic South Dakota squad through teambuilder that also may be an option.
Out: Nebraska & Colorado

Western Athletic Conference -
In:
Out: Boise State

Mountain West Conference -
In: Boise State
Out:

Independents -
In:
Out: Notre Dame

Any thoughts and ideas are most welcomed. Thank you in advance!

Where do Stanford, Indiana, and Washington State go?

Re: Conference Realingnment

You're better off just moving entire conferences.

Pac 10, minus Utah to the Big Ten.
Big Ten to the Big 12, obviously you would just keep Nebraska there.
Big 12 w/o Colorado and Nebraska to the Pac 10.

I was thinking SMU and Houston to the Big XII

If it matters, that will throw off the Bowl invites matchups. You'll have traditional Big Ten teams not playing in the Rose Bowl for instance. They'll end up in the bowls the Big XII teams usually go to. Again, if that matters at all to you. If not, yeah, this is a good solution.

Re: Conference Realingnment

For those intrigued with the idea of modifying conference alignments, by all means keep reading. I just think making some conference changes will bring some excitement to the game as the landscape of college football has changed.

Stanford could easily slide into the Western Athletic Conference.

I typically swap out UNLV, Temple, and Indiana for authentic teambuilder squads so options are certainly present to manuver teams around while maintaining some sense of realism.

Thank you for the suggestion of just switching total conferences but I agree that that will create mishaps when it comes to bowl invites.

Once again thank you for reading.

Re: Conference Realingnment

This is very interesting. I would like to tinker with the conferences a lil bit but hate to kick out real life members.

I didn't even know this could be done...lol I'm late to the party.
