both of them were bad draft picks from the start. Russel was pick first cause his game against notre dam in the sugar bowl and lienarts weaknesses were hidden by the fact that he had reggie bush and lendale white plus the best d in the nation. His arm was weak as hell at usc

I agree with the 2nd and 3rd comments. He had worlds of talent around him and through that it in with poor work ethic, doesn't equal success in the NFL.

I believe he is in Texas with the Texans. #1 no way can anyone be a bigger bust than that guy. As far hiding Chad Pennington played with Randy Moss in College(Chad's arm was the weakest ever) it was a lot of things that stunted his NFL progression and the biggest was competing with Kurt Warner, Even Eli Manning was beaten out his 1st season by that guy, until the Giants couldn't justify sitting the #1 pick for a guy who they didn't have plans to go forward with. My guess it that he wasn't drafted by that coach then lost his job the next season due to an injury(i don't like that)and the coach never really committed to him to begin with... Not a bust, not really given a chance to succeed.
