Players excited about T.O.?
Posted on March 9, 2009 at 03:50 PM.
Dallas said the same thing at the beginning. I think he will have a great year. He usually does. Its just the extra drama that makes it seem like he is having a dismal year

WR Terrell Owens became the newest Buffalo Bill in a surprising move on Saturday. His new teammates in Buffalo can’t wait to get started after Owens signed a one-year, $6.5 million contract with the Buffalo Bills.
WR Lee Evans, who will be opposite Owens in the Buffalo offense, had this to say to the Buffalo News:
  • “When you have an elite receiver like Owens on the outside, it opens up a lot of things offensively,” Evans said. “If teams play back in coverage, we’ll be able to run the ball more. If they crowd the line of scrimmage, we’ll be able to go over the top. I think bringing T.O. aboard creates a lot of exciting possibilities.” …
  • “I don’t think he’ll be a divisive element in the locker room,” Evans said. “I think he’ll fit in well as a player and as one of the guys.”
Owens has clashed with his quarterbacks in the past, but young QB Trent Edwards was optimistic about the move:
  • “I am really excited about the addition of Terrell Owens to our team,” Edwards said. “We spoke earlier and both look forward to working hard this offseason. We share the common goal of winning football games. His ability and experience will add to our offense and the weapons we already have.”
S Donte Whitner said that he is psyched and that the players will try to get to know their new teammate:
  • “I’m as happy as our fans are,” said safety Donte Whitner. “I get a lot of feedback from them, and they are excited. I know what type of player he is and the type of attention he commands from when we played against him. I also know the type of player Lee Evans is. I’m excited for the whole offense.” …
  • “I talked to some of the guys down in Dallas that I’m friends with, and they all loved the guy. There’s always something else that seems to get him in trouble. We’ll all get to know him and make our judgments from there.”

The only reason T.O. will work in Buffalo is because his contract is for one year. He won't be there long enough to actually screw something up with the team chemistry. I guarantee, if he does well in Buffalo he'll sign somewhere else next year. If he sucks it up in Buffalo, he'll sign somewhere else next year. This is a no-lose for the Bills save that 6.5 mil.

But if T.O. can act O.K. and stay on the field, then Lee Evans should be damn excited, because now he won't be getting quadruple covered anymore.
