I posted this in a thread last year sometime, it seems as apt as ever:
Battered Wife Syndrome: In lay terms, this is a reference to any person who, because of constant and severe domestic violence usually involving physical abuse by a partner, becomes depressed and unable to take any independent action that would allow him or her to escape the abuse. The condition explains why abused people often do not seek assistance from others, fight their abuser, or leave the abusive situation. ... Read More

That’s pretty much it for me….
Osatwork.com was a god send for me as the regular OS site was filtered at work. I could still access all the OS goodness, (except blogs) but now the creeping reach of regulation has reached out and gobbled up anything ‘/forums’. And seeing as how I do about 90% of my interweb surfing at work, and 99% of my time on OS in the forums, well….. you can do the math.
And I'm probably not the only one affected. All these filter ‘engines’ seem to be in ... Read More

I'm offering this up to give liberals a chance to defend obamas policies and actions over the 1st 100+ days. Lets see if the rubber can meet the road. Or are you going out when no ones looking and scraping that ‘O’ bumper sticker off your car? Or to paraphrase Jerry Orbeck in ‘dirty dancing’ – “When your wrong, say your wrong”

From Joshuapundit read it all.
Much has been said about President Obama and his supposed 'role models'. Even the president himself hasn't been amiss to trying on the masks of Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt or John Kennedy on occasion, and the press has gone out of its way to treat the Obama Administration as the Second Coming of Camelot.
But in looking at the actual decisions Obama has made as opposed to the rhetoric and the stance, a different model comes to mind. ... Read More

Marine 1st expeditionary unit told to stay out of Mexico.
Well apparently the military can recognize a threat to america, but can the goverment?
With the out going dofus apologizing for not getting amnesty passed for the millions of criminal illegals here. and the incoming dofus active in getting illegals registered to vote there doesnt seem much hope in curtailing or stopping the overflow of illegals and the cartel war going on on our border.
Hopefully after 4 ... Read More

Our new 111th Congress is in session, and straight away it has taken bold action to show us how serious politicians were about all those promises of change. Its first order of business: a measure to suppress energy production in Wyoming, build an extravagant road to nowhere in Alaska, and blow $1 billion of our hard-earned money defending the interests of 500 salmon in California. The omnibus lands package includes:
• A provision that takes about 8.8 trillion cubic feet of natural gas and 300 million... Read More

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevitch gave a press conference and struck back at his attackers in a unique and effective way ...by nominating a political ally for Obama's vacant senate seat that his fellow Democrats are going to find almost impossible to disavow.
The appointee in question is Roland Burris, former Illinois Attorney General, who has raised money for Blagojevitch and donated his own money to the governor...and who just ... Read More

Congressman: Obama's Seat Must Be Filled by Black
As promised by Obamunists, the election of The One means we have now transcended race in politics. Or maybe not:
As promised by Obamunists, the election of The One means we have now transcended race in politics. Or maybe not:
The race to replace Barack Obama as Illinois' junior senator heated up Tuesday as Rep. Bobby Rush, D-Ill., called on Gov. Rod Blagojevich to name a black man or woman to the seat.
By invoking race, Rush, who is black, drove a potential wedge between the prospective white and black contenders for the seat. Rush said... Read More

Napolitano to Head Homeland Security
To the disillusionment of anyone who imagined Obama would even pretend to take the War on Terror or border defense seriously, Arizona's unsuccessful governor Janet "Nappy" Napolitano has apparently received her pieces of silver for backing The One in the form of the top spot at Homeland Security.
Michelle Malkin explains what this means for border security:

The Rolling Thunder series by Viet-nam vet Mark Berent. A great fictionalized account of Berent 4 years flying in Nam.
