The Hilltoppers cruise to a solid home victory behind the legs of Leon Allen. Allen would use two long rushing touchdowns on the day, plus a short push into the endzone to finish the game with over 200 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns to lead his team to victory. Despite the 3 interceptions thrown by starting Damarcus Smith, the Hilltoppers strong defense and rushing game would ultimately be too much for the Troy Trojans to handle.

"I'm very impressed with the way Leon ran the ball today. He found the holes the offensive line was making and punished the defense," said Coach Spielman. "My special shout out goes to the guys that always don't get recognition: the offensive line. You don't rush for over 250 yards as a team without a strong push from your linemen, they really got things done in the trenches today."

With the win, the Trojans suffer their first conference loss of the season and only their second loss overall. Meanwhile, the Hilltoppers find themselves alone atop the conference now with an unblemished conference record of 4-0. Next week, WKU hits the road to take on the Georgia State Panthers.
