Since I have already played the first 8 games, I don't really feel like going back and updating the dynasty blog with each box score (I'd rather be playing the game!

). So instead the standings of the NL East through each team's first eight games are as follows:

Mets are coming off a nail biter in Washington, winning 5-3 despite closer Jeurys Familia loading the bases with one out having to face the dangerous Bryce Harper and Ryan Zimmermann. Familia was able to receive a generous call on a payoff pitch to Harper for a strikeout and followed it up by coaxing Zimmermann into a flyout. The Mets and Nationals will play a rubber game on Sunday Night Baseball with Matt Harvey taking on Tanner Roark.
