NCAA Football 12 Wasteland

You may be asking yourself why you just can't get into NCAA 12 like years past. You may be wondering why NCAA 12 gives so much in terms of screenshot polish and lighting, yet leaves you feeling hollow and wanting to toss the disk into the virtual graveyard. The answer is simple: a lack of focus by the NCAA team.

Now, I want to preface this by stating that I know they are trying. This can be seen in several areas of the game: the innovative online dynasty, lighting, and attention to detail in screenshots. It seems, however, that they are trying in all the wrong areas. Sure, we love online dynasty. But a non-functioning online dynasty? How can somebody love that? Lighting? Sure, it's great...but it doesn't vastly improve the on-field action. In the end, people want immersion. That immersion comes from better gameplay and presentations to make the user feel like they are not playing a video game, but actually controlling a football team.

The issues with NCAA 12 have been beaten to death, yet the sales continue to rise despite the constant negative feedback. The only way EA will understand the anger of the sports gaming community will be to stop buying the actual game. Nothing makes sense more quickly to a large company than losing money. So, I ask you, why would you still purchase this incomplete game? Even when college football is your favorite sport (which it is with me), is it worth seeing the NCAA franchise go downhill year after year? Purchasing this game only says "we will take whatever we can get" to the company who is producing it...how much longer will this continue?
