This is directed towards the guys that want the best 12min. quarter "Simulation" experience against human opponents. I guess I should start out by saying that I believe in the default sliders and have always believed in them for a while. I also think that the simulation sliders were put in place so that league creators could feel more comfortable adding "semi sim" guys to their leagues, knowing that the sliders would help curb some of the foolishness. Here is my thing, learn how to play the 2K and learn how to play BASKETBALL before trying to change sliders to fit your skill level.

Now if you knowingly can admit that you're change sliders because the guys you play with just aren't really that good at the game or don't really understand the game of basketball then by all means do just that. However, don't start a "Super Sim League" or something crazy touting excellent competition and completely "Sim" players, when you have to implement all these crazy rules like "no more than 50% points in the paint", because you can't keep guys in front of you, or changing sliders so guys can't steal the ball when its right in front of them, because you decide not to protect the ball. I suggest learning how it should be done, then trying that out in game with default sliders before ever thinking of touching a sliders.

Now I know, somebody is gonna say, "the game isn't perfect, that's why they give us the option to change the sliders", and I would have a very difficult time trying to argue that except for one little thing, what makes you think you are smarter than the guys that designed this game? With that being said, the default sliders are put in place to take into account the attributes and abilities of the players the most. THAT'S WHY EVERYTHING IS AT 50..... Now it comes down to defensive positioning, personnel, play-calling, utilization of timeouts etc. in order to gain the strategic advantage over your opponent in a 48min. game.

When the new 2K comes out, I really hope that guys take a step back and try to learn the game of basketball and how to play 2K before even thinking about switching any sliders, just to see how much more fun of a game it would be. Also, the following twitch feeds will be showcasing the most PURE BASKETBALL you will ever see in a video game and will hopefully be of some encouragement to try and look in the mirror first before you try and change something else to make up for your short comings.
