When oh when will this talk of him ever just completely die? Answer: From everything I'm ready not anytime soon. Say the season starts and he plays like crap can you blame him. There's nothing worse than being somewhere that doesn't want you. I know the league is looking into his 7 year home discount contract he signed late last year. I'm disappointed mgmt won't either get off there *** and get him traded so he can if nothing be closer to his family and move on or say hey we made a mistake (which btw they wont) and were sorry. This team didn't seem to learn last year regardless if anyone admits it or not that losing a sniper like Kessel to Toronto hurt in so many ways. Am I glad Kess is gone? Without a doubt. If they don't want to be a Bruin so be it,see ya. We got some very good compensation for him so no complaints on this end. But getting back to Savard who is a point per game player and wanting to get rid of him,he's the wrong guy. Your over the cap by a tad above the 3 mill. Simply unacceptable. That falls on the GM and as much as I like Chirelli he's botched this year up in so many ways. I would be pushing harder to get rid of Ryder whom I'm not a big fan of and has a contract of 4 mill a year and Thomas backup Goalie who has a 5mill a year. Tensions are running high with Savvy and if I'm him I say screw you Boston I'm not gonna play for ya. Poor guy!!

I feel like I'm the only Leaf fan that would love to take Savard of your hands. Sure, he's injury prone, getting old, high salaried but the Leafs have space and a serious lack of talent down the middle.

Plus there's the fact that there is a big time log jam with their defence that needs to be cleared up, not to mention Savard + Kessel is a proven working formula...

Tell ya what I'm not that very impressed with the way Brian Burke runs that's place but why wouldn't you want to reunite Kessel and Savard? That's ludicrous to think he's to expensive or we don't want to give Kaberle in a trade. Theoretically he could've cost more because he did get a hometown discount. What about Ryder or a Thomas. Think they would flourish in Toronto don't you? Well I can't wait for Hockey to start. They've severely pissed off Savard and I can't blame him one bit for being mad ,can you?
