32-5....NCAA 10 Basketball
Posted on February 12, 2012 at 11:50 PM.
Well just ended my run @ winning the National Championship but was ousted in Elite 8 by North Carolina by 3. As you may know I'm Arkansas so it'll be tough to duplicate that season but was hoping with a good recruiting class I could maintain. What's the best way to recruit. Have targets in site but still getting an F for recruiting. As a Coach myself I love playing this game and wish they'd come up with a newer version. I'm ranked 3rd in my 3rd season so wish me luck. Recruiting looks to be my biggest obstacle so any advice would be helpful.

I'm currently doing Canisius Golden Griffins, have been since about early November. Just entered my eigth season there last night. I have yet to make the tournament but I have improved the basketball program there quite a bit. We just finished 15-17 on a 4 star schedule which would have been pretty much impossible when I started. The best year I had so far was my 5th year I think. We went 21-8. Had a pretty easy schedule that year though. We moved to the Ivy League after my first season but moved back to MAAC about 4 years later. Despite the fact I've never made the tournament I'm still having a blast.

My recruiting advice is make sure you satisfy your needs first. Go to position breakdown, make sure you get the positions you need first. Also go realistically, it may take a few years of good sucess to start seeing better recruits more interested in your program. Go for the best players that have the HIGHEST interest in your program. Get positions you need with recruits that are initally interested. After, you have your needs settled get the best players available that have a very high interest, or maybe start looking torward the future and get positions you will be short on in a few years. Maybe, your starting center is not very good, you may need to try to go after a good center IF there is one that is good and highly interested.

Another thing, a lot of times you can't really listen to the recruting challenge the game gives you they might want you to get a 2star local player instead of a 3star player that is much farther away, in this instance go after the three star player. Just do the best you can, don't listen to their guidelines a lot of 'em seem stupid.

I'm currently in my first season with the UTA Mavericks. I was unable to get any big time programs to play me in the season so I played all mid-majors. We are currently 38-0 and about to play UK in the National Championship. I upset Purdue and Kansas to get to this point. The key to this game is to recruit good shooters and a good post man and work the ball inside out.

I agree you have to satisfy your needs first. After a few seasons and a couple of good runs you will be able to get the 5 star recruits.

No I'm not using them, because the EA Servers got shut down and I was unable to download them. I wish I could though.

Good run man!! This game was a fun game. IF EA could have patched where the AI shoots more 3's and where they always shoot in the post this game could have had some staying power.

Did you start you recruiting process?? Find anyone that can get you back to the dance?
