2005 vs. 2010
Posted on November 12, 2010 at 01:24 AM.

2005 and 2010 were both considered one of the strongest years for sports gaming (that is, all the games called 2005 vs. all the games that came out in the 2010 calendar year.) You know what else? They were both pretty crappy years for Brett Favre ('05), ('10). He also aged quite a bit, and although he was the same TD-hurling, INT G-O-A-Ting fire-stormer, there was more grey in his beard. I think if you take the reverse of the quality of his years but keep the aging part, this is an apt description for comparing the games of these eras.

Graphically, every one of the current generations of games is no match for the previous ones. However, are there still a lot of things that those older games got right, and maybe still hold value today?

I will follow up with more detailed comparisons of games. What do you all think?

Has not aged well. Maybe the rest of his body has to age more so his arm doesn't?

It actually is a 2005 pic. This is from an article on deadspin.com from January 2006 talking about his 2005.
