WINNIPEG, MAR. 8 - Once again the Jets lost their focus on a wild third period, allowing 3 goals (one of them, the game winner, with just 1:30 on the clock) and dropping their 4 straight game.
Prior to the game, Winnipeg lost another player to injury. Third line center Antoine Vermette, acquired from the Coyotes earlier in the season, fractured his jaw and will miss action for the next 2 weeks. Halpern was put in the lineup in his place.
The first two periods were a stalemate between both teams, with the Sens striking first only in the third. The Jets seemed to wake up and scored 2 unanswered goals, but they... went back to sleep. Ottawa tied the game and, with just one minute and a half on the clock, Hemsky's one timer went through Reimer's five-hole to hand the Jets their fourth straight loss
