No goals for Ovi as Jets beat Capitals in D.C

WASHINGTON, FEB. 6 - In a battle between the league top two goal scorers (Ovechkin and Wheeler), everyone were expecting a high scoring game. However, an awesome job by both goalies kept the game in a tight, really disputed 0-0 until an incredible effort by Olli Jokinen, when the game was at the third period already, finally put one on the scoreboard. Jokinen refused to give up on a play where the defense already had the puck under control, knocking the Caps' blueliner and striking quickly past Halak to score.
After that, Ovechkin even tried to tie the game in every way, but an outstanding play by Reimer held the high-flying russian scoreless.
Six minutes later, Halischuk scored a power play goal to put the game away and earn two more points for the Jets. In the end, Van Riemsdyk (now a first liner as Ladd is down with a broken ankle) put it through the empty net to give final numbers to the game.
