Being a youth umpire

Ok so my name is chris i am patch under babeurth its youth sports for baseball/softball i did a test true or flase and got 80 % or more on it to get patch its open book.

Anyways i share some stories how i got started.

I used to live near a baseball field and i thought of being an umpire since i love baseball but suck at hitting. the next best thing. So i was able to do the bases for 10.00 i had a lot of fun with the league president she was very nice and her son was twice as tall as me. So after they left there was a new persident but i moved somewhere else in the city. So i started to umpire a little league (get free food and drinks at the end of teh game)

I did the bases and plate but they didn't like me behind the plate cause of my age i am only 25 years old now... 20 something i said that and tehy disagree... i still believe that was the case. Anyways one of the games i was doing i had a base umpire and i was the plate umpire the batter hit the ball and hit him in the batter box (i didn't see it but my parnter did i ask him for help so i change the call) the vist persident starting to yell and wanted to forfit the other coach didn't want to. So i through the manager out people on the bottom field said he could hear him on top. the crowd cheers for me throwing the guy out. the parents have complain more than once to this league about him yelling at players.

this happen first maybe a year or that year i started. runner completey miss the base and the the the fielder step on the bag called him out. the uic i had (umpire in cheif) said thrown him out i never threw the guy out.

anyways as a umpire you need to have thick head to deal with all the nonsense there is. even parents know there over the top when i speak to them (even though your not suppose to)

So this video i cannot confirm if this is me or not it looks like me though i was just helping the calripken it was more volunteer with them... so this was early in my youth umpiring
