WHO'S THE QB IN DALLAS?
– Tony Romo is struggling with an injury and a rookie is looking to take his place.
Despite a 31-21 loss in the season opener, Tony Romo completed 24 of 39 passes for 307 yards and 3 TD's against the Giants. Then, after completing 2 passes for 21 yards against Washington, Romo was sacked and broke his thumb. Rookie QB Dak Prescott stepped in and despite som early struggles, Prescott completed 15 or 29 passes for 197 yards, 2 TD's and an interception and lead the Cowboys to their first win of the season. With a full week to prepare for his second regular season game, Dak Prescott impressed the home crowd with a solid performance (25/34, 387 yards, 3 TD's) in a convincing win over the Bears.
For a rookie QB, what Dak Prescott has shown so far has all of Dallas talking about their new franchise QB. On Sunday he lead the Cowboys to his third victory on three attempts, this time against Tom Brady's 49ers. For his second game in a row, Prescott threw for more than 300 yards and 3 TD's as the Cowboys brought a 34-10 win home from the west coast.
Tony Romo is expected to be back from injury after the bye week when the Eagles come to Dallas, but it remains to be seen whether the veteran still has a starting job in the NFL by then.
