ttocs's Blog
The purpose of this blog will be to document my created character's road to the show. His name is Scott Posey (which is mine) and he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles. I will list his pro's and con's starting out below.
Scott Posey
Number: 6 (9 was taken, and that's my favorite number)
Team: Baltimore Orioles
Pos: 3B
Sec Pos: OF
Bats: Right
Throws: Right
During character creation, I always like to create a guy who can hit. I took all the hitting stats up as far as allowed. Speed was increased as was fielding. Plate discipline was not as this rises during batting practice.
Spring Training
Spring Training is now over and Scott was given a contract with the Baltimore Orioles to start in AA Bowie. The contract is for $65,000, two years.
During spring training, Scott hit 3 homers, 4 doubles, and ended up with a .209 batting average. Spring started strong only to slump towards the end. Now, with the Bowie Baysox, Scott is playing third base and making waves across the minors. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, he will be able to prove to his organization that he is the rightful man to start third base for the Baltimore Orioles.

I was thinking the same thing when it happened. The first homerun was my very first game too, second at bat. I hit one to the opposite field. I was shocked. Second one came a game or two later. I thought for a moment "wow, I could make the majors my first year?!?!", but then the slump started. My average shot down and the homers all but went away. I hit one more before it was all over.
Usually when I get the big slumps, I turn the game off and take a break. When I come back, I have different eyes and do a little better.
