RTTS Introduction

I absolutely love MLB's RTTS mode. So addicting! I thought I'd try posting updates and momentous events around my RTTS guy, and what better way to start than with an introduction and career history to this point.

Vital Stats:
Team - Texas Rangers
Name - Trevor Tinker
Age - 22
Number - 16
Position - LF, 1B

I started my career as an 18-year greenhorn, signed to the Angels AA affiliate. Throughout my first season, I was traded 3 times, with stints with the Yankees, Reds, and now the Texas Rangers. Played 1 full season + 10 games in AA, and due to my .489 average, earned my callup to AAA early in the 2011 season.

In 2012, I started getting callups to the Show, but couldn't stay put. After 108 at bats, I was sent back down when the Rangers acquired another utility player.

I had good numbers, but was hoping to stay down in AAA, so I would have a shot at the Rookie of the Year trophy the following year, but no luck. I got called back up a couple of times, and on the third attempt, stuck in the bigs. I played 82 games for the Rangers that year, hitting .407 with 38 runs, 15 hrs and 50 rbis in 275 at bats. Unfortunately, I finished 2nd in Rookie of the Year voting, one trophy I've never one in three versions of this game.

2013 started with a 4-year, $5M contract and the status of an "everyday starter". I started the season absolutely tearing the cover off the ball, but as the year progressed, the production started coming down. Then, in July, one week after the all star break, on a routine dive back to 1st, I tear my ACL, ending my season.

2013 ends with me hitting .384, with 47 runs, 14 hrs and 44 rbis, in 276 at-bats.

And that's where we are today, about to kick off spring training
