Warning NBA 2K, they would like for you to be seen in the same light as Madden

First off, this is not a silly EA vs 2K discussion on my part. I have scrolled online various sites and I have seen the trend unfold before my eyes. There are some who make claims that 2K is getting away with things that EA would never get away with. What do they point to? Online off course. What games do they usually point to. NBA 2K and Madden off course. Why is 2K not receiving the same heat Madden receives some say.

2K has a reputation for having subpar online to put it lightly. On the other hand, when you go online you will not see many videos of people breaking down just how unrealistic NBA 2K is like you will for Madden whom still does not get the interactions between linemen, receivers and defensive backs, and things that some consider simple gameplay correct. Though, for some reason you are starting to see the posts about why is 2K getting away with having flaws while Madden is ripped apart. My answer is we are talking simple gameplay versus modes. Gameplay is the biggest part of any mode. Though, this is not about a answer this is about a warning.

My warning to 2K is not really even about NBA 2K but about that dirty word exclusive. You have a monopoly currently and now your product is being picked apart with somewhat redundant complaints about damn near the only thing that can be complained about which has been a problem for several years. Now they want to put you in the same category as other games who have had the same complaints for several years. Sure MLB 2K gets complaints but there is know one complaint, the biggest complaint is it simply is not as good as The Show. My point and warning is that once again exclusives are not good for the industry and when it comes to respect for product it is not even good for the company. If we had Live 12 to compare to NBA 2K12 it would be a different story. We would not have a million posts from site to site already about the one main flaw of this game, or if we did they would not be so thunderous because the thunder would be somewhat stole by the inevitable problems of the competition. Case in point, MLB The Show has a bad rep for online also but it is never this blown out of proportion because of it being the superior product to its competition.

My warning is simple, when your lease is up for exclusive for the MLB game 2K don't re-up. Allow competition or allow EA to buy the exclusive. Use that money to bring College Hoops back and don't even try for an exclusive allow competition because rather it makes you better or not, when you are superior; I question, but one thing it does is takes some of the pressure and hate away.

Totally agree. Im amazed at the hate. Mlb the show is greatest baseball game out but online sucks bad and nobody blows it up like they try to do with nba 2k12. Haters going to hate. I love the game and most importantly gameplay is great . Im just sick of it already. Good post bro.

Why do people spend so much time defending games they like? The reason: they want people to the same opinion as they do.

I enjoy good games regardless who they are published by. I enjoy Madden, The Show, NBA 2K12 etc. I dont need to spend time defending these games from those who have a differing opinion. My point is quit worrying about what others think
