I know Backbreaker has received some pretty bad reviews from mainstream video game media and i think i finally know why.. A big reason is because there's no NFL license which is not the developers fault and everybody knows why.. But a big reason is because the gameplay is completely new for as far as a football game goes.. The camera and the gameplay puts you on the field which the people at Natural Motions and 505 told everyone it was going to do. People are used to the same old Madden cam from the past 20 years, and they want to be in control of every player on the field which is unrealistic.. No matter what the reviews say, I would say that Backbreaker is the start of something new, not only for the football genre but for the whole sports genre. The Euphoria Engine has given players a glimpse of the future of sports games. Now that this technology has been implemented in a sports game, every fan and gamer is going to want real-time physics in their game. We're already seeing it in development with NBA Elite 11 and Other 2k and Ea sports games, especially Madden, will have to put this type of tech in their game if they want to keep advertising their games as "Simulation" titles
