MORE BREAKING NEWS
From the StarTribune newspaper:
Timberwolves acquire Ellis and Richardson in a Multi-team blockbuster trade
"
This was definitely an out of nowhere trade for all of us. Nobody had seen this coming. The Timberwolves have just acquired star guard Monta Ellis and swingman Jason Richardson from the Bucks and 76ers respectively. They traded Andrei Kirilenko and their 2012 first round pick to the Bucks, and Brandon Roy and their 2013 first round pick to the 76ers. It seems as if they want to win now. And with this team, they have a much better chance at making a run at the playoffs because of their combo of Love and Ellis.
We interviewed the GM of the Wolves and asked him why he had done this trade. He said this when we were able to catch him on the press conference: "I have been a huge fan of Monta Ellis and I also liked Jason Richardson's 3 point shot to help us win some games on the offensive side. Both of these guys will definitely help us on offense. They make us a threat to become an even more high-tempo team now that we have Rubio and Ellis working the backcourt. With Rubio's passing skills and Ellis's scoring abilities, we can pusht the break every chance we can. And with the addition of Richardson, he can put pressure on defenses to guard the three. I like what we have right now and we'll see how this team plays on."
What do you guys think of this trade and team now? Do you think they can win more games now that they have those two? Let me know on the comments/posts below!

BREAKING NEWS
From the StarTribune newspaper:
"
The coach of the Timberwolves has been fined $25,000 for criticizing the refs after the Knicks/Wolves game. He mentioned about them being on "something." This is not a good way to start the season for them. They will need to keep their mouth shut next time something like this happens because this will only lead them to fail.
After finding out, the GM of the team, Thilanwij, was questioned about the fine and what he thought of it. He said, "I think he needs to let his frustration out in another way because this only costs our team the money and we don't like that up in Minneapolis. I told him to calm down and just relax because this is just the beginning of the season and there are many other days that we can do better. Just focus on training the players to get better and we will be fine. After that, he calmed down and apologized to me, and the rest was history."
Looks like the T'Wolves have gotten this on track now, but we will see if it shows on and off the court.

Coach's Thoughts:
"I think the referees were on something tonight. It seemed like every call was going in New York's way because they fouled us many times but we never got any sort of call like them. We got hit harder but there was no foul there. It is pretty frustrating to watch your team lose while the other team gets all the call you're not getting. I wanted to yell at the refs but I didn't want to get called for a T. I really feel the refs were part of the blame for our loss tonight. Disappointing."
