He has done so much for the team! I know the Lakers did it for the franchise’s good, because of all the money issues and him being a problem keeping up with the other guards, but you gotta feel it for this guy. He has done LOTS of things for the Lakers organization for many years, from buzzer beaters and big shots, to helping save the NBA season by being the president of the players union during the lockout. He will be missed by me and all of the Laker fans. I hope he somehow comes back and retires as a Laker, even if it takes a 10-day contract just to do that!

I don't! it's the NBA he make more money somewhere else. I don't know how anybody could play with Kobe

@PackerBacker123 He's been really loyal and have been through the ups and downs as a Laker throughout his career! I have a feeling you're probably not a Lakers fan xD

I lost all respect for derek fisher during the lockout. I feel he used the lockout as a means to strengthen his "after basketball" career. he didnt act like a president who is also a player who looks out for the players best interest. he looked like a suit,,, and standing alongside Billy Hunter made it all the more clear that while that Billy Hunter knew who he was but derek fisher didn't. As a player he was a bore and pain to watch play. No style just a bunch of hunk. he was opposite of what LA was...UN FUN.

@PackerBacker123 haha I knew it! I'm thinking you are near the Michigan area? And I wonder if the "Packer" part of your name has anything to do with being a fan of the Packers?
@Tomba I think that should be his next role after he retires because it seems like the perfect fit for him, especially after the lockout. I guess you're right about him not acting like both a president and the player because he didn't do what the players wanted. He may be boring, but he does hit some big shots that win them games!
