A superficial wishlist for The Show 16

Wishlists are always fun. Some can include gameplay improvements, others can get into improvements for deeper modes. I know I've worked on both styles. But this list is purely superficial. None of the stuff I will have listed here will make or break the next edition of the show. But these are some ideas that would add more ambience to the game. Some is long overdue and others are just simple ideas that we most likely won't see but would add to the feel of being at the ballpark.

**Note, I will not be mentioning things out of the actual Show team's control like lack of the MP3 support for the PS4. I may have some ideas to work around that issue, but since this is more of a PS4 issue, I can't really expect the team to put something there that isn't possible on the system.

Enjoy and feel free to add some of your own ideas. I am going to rank at the end if I think it is possible or long shot as well on my list.

1. Add in more songs for walkup music. Since we don't appear to be getting a true Sounds of the Show back for the series due to the Sony's refusal to allow MP3 files on the PS4, add a few more popular choices. Some songs you know are always featured as walkups, like AC/DC Thunderstruck or Ozzie's Crazy House. It will allow us more walkup variety. (Likelihood - Unlikely. I doubt they will spend much time or money on getting these types of songs or adding more the playlist.)

2. Add in team win, loss songs and team specific home run songs. Songs like Go Cubs Go and New York, New York after a Cubs or Yankees win is truly missing since we lost true Sounds of the Show. And since most songs have something specific home run song, it takes away from the feat to hear something generic play in its place. (Likelihood - Probable. This one is more likely than the one above because we are seeing this trend in other sports games. NHL 16 has confirmed stadium specific goal scoring songs. And some of these songs might be easier to get a license for than the ones above.

3. Redone commentary. This is long over the due. When I first started playing the Show series, I was blown away by how good and smart the commentary was. It was the standard others should have hope for. But that was years ago and 2K and a few others have left them behind. It is time to redo it, maybe even mix in a few team specific lines. But I think everyone is tired of the cut shot of dancing fans and the "Looks like a full moon tonight" line. This update is long past due. (Likelihood - Probable - While I was tempted to list it as unlikely due to how long we've been asking, I think it is doable. And since this complaint keeps growing, you have to figure the Show team is getting tired of hearing it and might actually do something about it.

4. Bring back custom chants and taunts. I may be in a small number of people that actually enjoyed having the ability to create my own chants. I loved have A Rod show up to bat to my custom "A Roids" chant. This year that is missing. I hate it when features are taken away from us. (Likelihood - Unlikely. I don't believe they'll bring it back. They pulled it and I don't see it coming back after one year. But I do miss it, even if I'm one of the only ones that does.)

5. Raise the number of Uniform options. The fact this has a cap on is and has been silly. Other sports titles don't put this cap in place. As a result we don't see as many uniforms as we might see in a season. And some teams have to be missing an alternate due to the cap and them having to choose what to leave out since they have a home, home alt, two throwback home, away, away alt, and two away throwbacks. And why we're at it, tell us the year of the throwback already. That should have always been included. (Likelihood - Unlikely. While I don't thing this would be hard for them, they've stuck to this cap for so long I don't think it is going to change. Plus, I've not really seen many people complain about for them to feel any pressure to change it.)

6. Add in actual minor league parks. While they keep adding to the fictional minor league parks, they have not added any actual parks. The old 2K series actually had some authentic ones so it can be done. Heck, even if they keep the generic and add in a few this year to start and keep adding more over team that would be great too. It would make playing in the farm feel better too. (Likelihood - Unlikely - I don't see this happening as they keep adding generics and same as above, there is not a huge outcry for it.)

7. Rain delays, cancelled due to weather, double header rescheduled games. I believe All Star Baseball use to have this. If you played in a rainy game, you never knew if the game would finish. Rain in the Show doesn't matter as you know you'll play all nine. Also, I liked having the rescheduled games and the occasional double headers as a result. This addition would be a great add to the Show. (Likelihood - Probable. Not a huge outcry for this but still seems like an easier code to include. Do I believe we'll see it, no but I don't think it is out of the question either.

8. Make having the roof closed an option and automatic if there is weather. Nothing in the show bothers me more than playing in a stadium with a retractable roof and having it rain. This should NEVER happen. That is why they have a retractable roof. It is way past time to make closing the roof an option in these games. (Likelihood - Probable. This too should be an easy addition and one that I have seen other complain about. Hopefully the Show team finally takes notice)

9. More team specific chants - Every team has a specific chant. I would like to hear more them, from the Tomahawk chop to a Go Cubs Go. It would add more the game. Again, another thing we lost when custom chants were taken away from us. (Likelihood - Probable. Not out of the question as some already are in the game. Would be nice to see a few more and have them timed correctly.)

10. More custom jeers and jeer chants - The overrated chant shouldn't be the only jeer chant we hear. And if two rivals are playing, maybe them have some team specific chants they throw at their hated rivals. (Likelihood - Unlikely. I say unlikely because I'm just not convinced the team wishes to have negative type chants. I don't think this would hard to do but I am not hopeful of them adding more.)

Also you should feel the difference in the atmosphere when its a division game especially with the title is on the line. Game 45 should not feel the same as game 154 if the playoffs are around the corner
