Ok EA, why are there still generic stadiums in ncaa 2010?
Posted on April 18, 2009 at 03:42 PM.
I find it very sad that EA has yet to get all the stadiums in the NCAA series. It is kinda of a joke. Some people are praising them for getting the grand total up, but I won't be one of them. There is no excuse for not having them all in by now.

Here's what we know:
These stadiums will still be generic in 2010:

San Jose State
Rice (a ten win team in 08)
Miami(OH)
Minnesota (stadium isn't ready so I can at least give them a pass on this one)
Western Kentucky
Kent State
And a few bowl stadiums are expected to still be missing as well. This is a sad statement. I've been very pleased with the fact EA has been on these boards and seems to care, but I feel that these teams, none of which I am a fan, are getting the shaft.

Well instead of actually getting all the stadiums, EA was more worried about showing us a new scoreboard at LSU, Ole Miss, OSU, Louisville, FSU and a few others. The new scoreboards could wait a year. Sorry, but it could and should have.

I can understand wanting to get major stadium expansions into the game, like the one in Texas, but just a scoreboard change should NOT have been more important than adding all the stadiums.

They should have focused more on getting these missing stadiums in first, true stadium expansions second, then updated scoreboards and field changes last. I know FSU and LSU have more fans, but come on. Fans of the teams with generic stadiums deserve more. A scoreboard could wait for one more year.

I am still getting the game, but I do find it sad that EA in year four of this game still doesn't have everything last gen had. I know they don't have as much time, but not only are they not getting all the stadiums in the game, several stadiums that had major expansions aren't being updated as well. Those are teams that had the expansion debut last season and for another virtual season will have to play in the past.

This blog is not meant as an insult to teams that I've called out who will see they're scoreboard updated this year in game. I'm happy for you, but I feel EA should have done more and if something needed to be left out, a scoreboard change should have been passed up over another season of generic stadiums.

OMT works hard and I know he wants the perfect NCAA game in terms of looks and feel. I know he's working to get the NCAA series to that point, but I feel EA hasn't allowed his team the time to get it done.

I believe they could push NCAA back one month and things could be different. I would be more than willing to wait an extra month for my game if it meant it was more true to life. I mean we really don't need the game two months before the season.

That or make sure you have sent the people out to ensure major stadium expansions and all stadiums are present. It shouldn't take four years to get it right. The fact that it does is a slap in the face to teams that still get the shaft.

I understand that there are a lot of teams 120 plus bowls but, I think every team deserves their stadium in the game. If the Glass Bowl was not in there for the Rockets I would not buy the game.

Yeah, they don't have my team's stadium expansion, but they do have the old look of the stadium so I'm ok to buy it still, but I wrote that cause I don't think we should still have teams with missing stadiums so they can add a new scoreboard to a stadium. Give me a break.

I don't want to sound like I'm nit-picking your blog, I like it, but WKU's stadium (even if it is generic which I don't think it is) looks a hell of a lot like it does in RL. Trust me I've been there.
