Milestone occurs as Phillies win
Philadephia- Chase Utley came into the Phillies 16th game putting on his worst back to back performances in years. That is over. Utley crushed a two-run homer for the expanded lead and his 200th homer of his career. Note: Jimmy Rollins is at 198. Chase was also named player of the game as the Phillie get back on track after a series loss against the Reds. Cliff Lee will face Lance Lynn tomorrow night.

Philadelphia-Hours before the Cardinals-Phillies game, the Phils struck a deal with free agent utility player Bill Hall. The deal is worth around 800k in one year. Hall should suit up tonight but don't expect him to play. More information to come as more news comes out.

Phillies get a taste of their own medicine
Cincinnati- Last night, the Reds were stunned by John Lannan and the Phillies and got shut out 9-0. But tonight was different. The Reds sent Mike Leake to the mound as he pitched like a man possesed shutting out the Phils tonight 6-0. Manager Dusty Baker comments: "He (Leake) came out and dazzled all of us. He has opened a lot of eyes this season."
It all started in the first inning when Chris Heisey hit a sac fly to Delmon Young and Choo scored. The inning ended an a magnificent catch by Lance Nix
The Reds would come back again with a run in the 2nd and one in the 3rd. Aaron Cook would be stabbed with the loss. His first. Giving up 3 runs in 6. Mike Adams would come in relief in the 7th only to give up a three-run bomb to Jay Bruce. Juan Cruz would pitch the 8th. On the other side, pitching wasn't a problem, Mike Leake shut out the Fighting Phils all night long as he earns player of the game honors.
Player Of The Game:
Now the Phillies will come back to Philadelphia to face the Cardinals. With the scheduled pitching matchup.
