INDIANAPOLIS - In the first game after trading for Dario Saric and T.J. McConnell, the Phoenix Suns put together a great team effort to top the Indiana Pacers 108-100. After a shaky defensive start to the game, the Suns shut down the Pacers in the second quarter, eventually stretching their lead to as much as 14 points. Indiana would fight back to make the fourth quarter a back-and-forth affair, but Phoenix pulled it out in the end to get their 5th win of the season.
Devin Booker led the Suns in scoring with 24 points, but this was a team effort that saw 5 different players score double digit points. Booker struggled shooting from the field, but hit two big 3's in the last minute to ice the game. The big advantage for Phoenix came in bench scoring. Donovan Mitchell led a second unit that outscored Indiana's bench 37-14. The big addition for the Suns, Dario Saric, had a nice game himself. Saric totaled 16 points and added 8 rebounds to his line. For the Pacers, balance was not in the cards. Carmelo Anthony had his way for most of the game, scoring 34 points on 15-25 shooting. The second of the two-headed monster was Myles Turner, who scored 20 points and had 14 rebounds.
Next up for the Suns: @ Atlanta Hawks (6-10)
