PHOENIX - In a battle of two teams that figure to be fighting for ping pong balls rather than rings at the end of the year, the Phoenix Suns dropped their second game of the young season to the Los Angeles Lakers. This one was close throughout, with the Lakers holding a slim lead for much of the second half before closing it out.

Devin Booker led the way for the Suns with 30 points, but he shot just 3-15 from beyond the 3 point line. Much of these struggles occurred in the 4th quarter, where Booker struggled mightily. He played 5 more minutes than the next highest in the game, and it looked like that took a toll on him in crunch time. It'll be interesting to see how coach Jay Triano plays with his rotations to keep Booker fresh down the stretch of games. Lonzo Ball led the Lakers in this one, scoring 24 points in just his second NBA game, looking nothing like a rookie.
