I currently go to the Schulich School of Business @ York University. York is n strike, because the TA's and some other people want more money. While I could get into the details of why their wage demands are completely idiotic in the current state of the economy, I won't.

The strike started on November 6th, and using past precedent, won't end until probably the New Year. As such, I have taken a small vacation from doing work.

As I noted previously, my university is on strike. It does not appear that they will be going off strike anytime soon.

As such, I basically have nothing to do all day. I wake up, go to the gym, and then there's a nice giant gap of nothing until whatever happens that night. Recently I have played copious amounts of NHL '09, which, while a very good game, is something I can't be doing for six weeks.

From March 7-11, 2009, the first round of the World Baseball Classic will take place in Toronto. For those of you who live in the Toronto area, or within a decently short drive of it, I'd suggest coming up for a weekend + a couple days of good baseball action. Living in Canada, there are certain disadvantages that exist in regards to watching sports on TV. Mainly, ESPN does not exist in Canada. Instead, an ESPN owned station called TSN is in its place, which shows nothing but hockey. Recently, TSN2 was introduced, but it isn't carried on my cable package. There are also four Sportsnet channels (that show hockey), and The Score (that shows basketball and *gasp* no hockey).
