Quakes Retain Wondo, Maidana

The San Jose Earthquakes today agreed to extensions with striker Chris Wondolowski and midfielder Cristian Maidana. The deal for Wondowlowski is believed to be for one more season, likely his last as a professional. Terms of the Maidana deal were not disclosed.

Wondowlowski, 32, has been with the Earthquakes since the 2009 season, totaling 98 goals in 180 appearances, including a league record tying 27 goals in 2012.

Maidana joined the Earthquakes prior to the 2015 season, totaling four goals and four assists with the club.
