To be or not to be..... that is the question. Message boards throughout the internet are bombarded with praise and criticism for the new Madden NFL 10. However, there's one underlying issue that's flying under the radar......... Should your beloved Madden football play like an NFL Video Game or an NFL Football Simulator?
Without gathering any statistical data or mass email surveys, Ian Cummings sounded off in a message board! He wants to recreate Madden to where a Madden challenge winner would not stand a chance against an experienced NFL head coach. On paper this sounds like an awesome idea. Money plays and cheesing has diminished the quality and credibility for years. Rocket catches, defensive line stacking, angling to consistently block extra points are glitches the savvy hardcore gamer exploit, to terrorize the casual gamer who purchases only Madden, from year to year. At the same time, Youtube is littered with Madden-nites chasing the truth, exposing every hole in Madden�s game play engine. But here�s the paradox��.. Ian Cummings wants to scale the game to replicate real NFL football, and gamers chasing the truth wants an authentic, realistic video game experience, that replicates the physics of real life football.
It appears to me, if I was looking to create an NFL simulator, my number one concern would be the statistical data of the video game being comparable to real NFL football. If I the lead designer: takes out the design flaw; which allows a cornerback to turn around mid air and tackle a fleeing WR. Would my game be realistic if it allowed said receiver to gain 500 yards in one game? From a gaming perspective- the artificial intelligence; which holds the game accountable to authentic NFL football is an unrealistic nuisance, because that play would have been my 100th touch down for the season, if the CPU assistance hadn�t of intervened, by allowing the defender to magically turn in mid-air to tackle Ocho Cinco.

i want espn 2k10 thats all.....problem solved. i want madden to rehash 2k5 update graphics and fix the few bugs in 2k5 thats all they need to do. i want full costomization and a real sim experience and something that has five years of replayability and is still fun COUGH COUGH (2k5). cuz after 2 weeks of madden 10 i got severly bored to death in my franchise and kinda gave up. madden 10= sexy looking young girl but shes ignorant and ******** on the inside. 2k5= older looking girl but shes BEAUTIFUL in almost every way inside and you enjoy it more. I wish i could say the same thing about my life haha i keep goin after the maddens when i should really be looking for the 2k5 type girls if ya know what i mean but they're not as pretty haha wow im messed up right now. but you get the point
