2011 Offseason - Retirements

Several well-known players decided to hang up their cleats this off-season. The impressive list includes the following players:
  • Brett Favre from Minny
  • T.O. from Cincy
  • Stokely of the Broncos
  • Kitna from the Lions
  • Brunell from the Jets
  • Jeff Hanson from the Lions
  • Fred Taylor from New England
  • Kevin Faulk from New England
  • Derrick Mason from Baltimore
  • Joey Galloway from Washington
  • And a large list of veteran free agents
Analysis: The returning NFC Champions now have a glaring hole at QB, which will be interesting to see how they fill it. Backup QB TJax? Draft? Free agency? The Super Bowl champs will undoubtedly have to get help in the backfield, whether via the draft or free agency.
