I have had terrible luck with xbox 360's this last 2 months. My 1st system went down in late June, get a used system on ebay a week later only to have that go down late July. I am now staring at my replecement (thank goodness for the warrenty) so for 5 of 8 weeks I have had no xbox 360 and with Fight Night 4, Madden 10 coming out I have been so freaking mad. Time to hit some games tonight.

I wrote a blog back in June about my systme RROD on me and how it sucked. I later purchased a used system on ebay and 3 weeks later it will not load the games at all. The seller is being helpful and will replace the system for me but, yet again I am down an xbox for a while. I just wish that Microsoft would ship out a good product instead of this crap that I am replacing every month.

Overslept for the gym today
Ripped my shoe
Came into mini disaster at work
followed by 2 more mini disasters at work
come home to CRANKY kids and wife.

Boy I can't wait to hit a game tonight I just hope my xbox doesn't explode tonight.

Today I celebrate my 30th birthday and just want to say I love gaming even more than I did 23 years ago when I recieved a nintedo for my 7th birthday in 1986. 23 years later and Genisis, Super Nintendo, Playstation, Dreamcast, Playstation 2, and Xbox 360 later I still pop in a game and just enjoy it for the hour and have no intentions of stopping. at 30 years of age I see no reason to stop doing the things I love such as Video games, comic books etc...

I'm back in action baby!!!

I wrote an earlier blog about my xbox red ringing on me and how sad I was. my wife allowed me to purchace a used xbox online (ebay) and I just recieved the FedEx delivery today. $84.50 later and a week of waiting and it is game time again. Now all I have to do is get my laptop back and life will be complete again.

My Xbox 360 is down

I know that this is not a new problem but, I needed to vent. Last night I went to fire up my 360 and boom 3 red lights!!! I am down and out right now. My warranty is expired and will cost $100 plus shipping to repair and I heard it takes weeks to get the system back. I can buy a used system for $140-190 without a HD, but I don't have that kind of $$ sitting around right now. My wife and I are expecting our 3rd child and I think this means I'm out of luck for a while.

TE Scott LaPointe has announced his 17th season will be his last in the NFL. Lapointe has played for New England, San Diego, Arizona, Cleveland, Detroit, and will play with the Jets this season. He is the all time leader in Recieving yards, TD'S, and is 2nd in receptions.

My MLB 2k9 season

I have been playing MLB 2k9 since day one. I have defended this game on many of the boards on here.
I started my dynasty with the Mets and this is update #1.
After 13 of 104 games I am 9-4 and hold a 1 game lead over the Atlanta Braves (8-5), and a 2 game lead over Philadelphia Phillies and Florida Marlins (7-6).

I was talking to some guys at work about some "classic gaming moments" as I started to tell some of mine I realized a good deal of them came on games that I actually lost. I think I appriciate a hard fought defeat than a blowout victory sometimes. Anyways here are a few moments that I remember.

I think everyone has there own list of top games this one is mine. I rank them on how I remember them. This list is just the best games I remember playing as a kid to today.

Number 10: Tecmo Super Bowl: just a fun game by today's standard it's bare bones but, just over all fun. I loved keeping track of all my stats and playing against my brother until 3am.

As most everyone knows the economy sucks. As a father of two girls and two dogs with a house payment car payment and all the other bills that go with being big people I have found my gaming budget to be somewhat streched to the limit. Then I found my local Buybacks and a little store called Video Game Underground. I have purchaced: College Hoops 2k8 for $9, NBA 2k8 for $12, NCAA football 08 for $10, APF 2k8 for $5, and NHL 09 for $19!
