Value gaming is awesome!!

As most everyone knows the economy sucks. As a father of two girls and two dogs with a house payment car payment and all the other bills that go with being big people I have found my gaming budget to be somewhat streched to the limit. Then I found my local Buybacks and a little store called Video Game Underground. I have purchaced: College Hoops 2k8 for $9, NBA 2k8 for $12, NCAA football 08 for $10, APF 2k8 for $5, and NHL 09 for $19!

that is 5 games for only $55!!!!!!

I now get to play some great games and not feel guilty for doing so. 5 games for the price of one. My brother in law makes fun of me for "not playing the newest versions with the updated rosters. I have higher priorities with my $$ now and this is my new way to play.

This is a good idea. Changes and improvements from year to year are usually pretty minimal in sports games, so you aren't missing a whole lot by buying last year's version.

I hear ya on the real-world responsibilities. Good for you on finding all those deals, especially NHL 09. I haven't paid full price for a game in over a year and now, when I find a title I like, I stick with it for at least 2 years before upgrading.

Good for you. It seems like the game companies raised the games for next gen up $10.00 for what? That extra $10.00 for all the bugs and glitches they leave in? or is it for all the patches we have to download?! I think $45.00 is a fair price, plus I think more people would buy games new.
