#23 Alaska State spotted Washington an 18 point lead before then outscoring the Huskies 53-14, to win the 2015 Las Vegas Bowl 63-42. ASU signal caller Markel Cooley threw two early interceptions before finding his rhythm and throwing for 281yds and 3-TD. Cooley also ran for another 2 scores on 78 yards rushing to lead his team to a second consecutive bowl win. RB Shaun Peterson contributed 134yds on the ground and tight end Ben Palmer hauled in 2 key touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, Rhett Motley added 3 sacks to his career high 9 sacks on the season to finish with 12 total. Motley also caused 2 fumbles on the day. The win was the 8th straight for Alaska State, finishing the season ranked in the top 20 at 11-3
