True freshman strong safety William Davis is proving to be a valuable asset not only on defense, but also on offense. Injuries at the running back position have forced Alaska State coaches to give opportunities at running back to players at different positions. But Davis, a 6-3' 220 beast from Red Springs, NC, is no stranger to the position. Davis led his AAAA high school in rushing his junior and senior year, and led them in tackles on defense. Davis compiled 4500 yards and 44 touchdowns in 2 years starting at RB. Now, Davis has stepped in nicely at the #2 RB slot, rushing for 67 yards and a score in only 2 games. Davis is also leading the SnowCats defense in tackles with 52 and 6 pass defensed.
