Superstar Mode Made Easy, Really

In concept, both Madden's Superstar Mode and NCAA's Campus Legend, (sorry Road To Glory With Erin Andrews), are great modes. I was especially was excited to play Superstar for the first time in '08, after having first played Campus Legend, thinking that Madden would simply make the necessary fixes, and to me very easily fixes at that. But it was not to be, and '09's Superstar saw little improvement.

Superstar to me is not about being able to acquire property and purchase fancier and fancier hot rods for your multi car garage. It's about being able to play any position on a 22 man field and have fun with it. The possibility of following your player through ups and downs of NFL football.

First off, let me fight my way up the depth chart or maybe even having the ability to fight to make the team.

This would have be first if not for what I've been reading in the developers' blog. The A.I.'s ability to make logical play calling decisions. Also, the CPU's logic on having a legitimate roster need for drafting you, trading you, cutting you etc.

Lastly the camera. A custom camera that has 360 degrees of adjustment, so that the player can adjust the angle and height for maximum playability to all positions. I guess much like locking a replay camera in any position.

Just these things, I think, would make Superstar a much more satisfying and long lasting gaming experience.

Can't wait 'til August 14.
