wwharton
c - hakeem olajuwon, arvydis sabonis
pf - charles barkley, rasheed wallace
sf - connie hawkins, glenn robinson
sg - clyde drexler. mitch richmond, allen iverson, alvin robertson
pg - isaiah thomas, anfernee hardaway

Offense - Your starting line up can score with any team on here. The most versatile center in NBA history. You have great offensive rebounding with Barkley. Hawkins was a very solid scorer in his younger years. Drexler was a great slasher. Richmond was a great shooter. Iverson could score & pass the ball, though he didn't do either very efficiently. Thomas was a great point guard, who I can see having no problem giving up shots to Drexler, Hakeem, Barkley, Richmond, & Sabonis. Sabonis was a productive offensive big man in his NBA days, who could step out and hit the jumper. As could Sheed & Glenn Robinson. Penny adds a dimension to your offense, as well, with his ability to play like a 2 guard, but pass well. I like the blend you have - guys who can create for themselves, as well as guys who can create for others. I do have to knock off 1 point because so many of your scorers (with the exception of Richmond) predicate their game on 1-on-1/face up/hold the ball offense. 9/10

Defense - Having the greatest all-around defensive center ever really helps here. He could block shots, play the pick & roll, and was quick enough to jump passing lanes. Iverson was great at jumping passing lanes, but his on ball D wasn't great; he gambled too often. and Isiah was a solid perimeter defender. Robertson is (as I'm sure you know) by far your best perimeter defender. He's right there with Dumars & Moncrief as a defensive guard. That being said, I don't think that's enough to make up for Barkley's below average defense, Drexler's average defense, Richmond's average defense, & Penny's almost average defense. Sheed & Sabonis certainly help inside, but your perimeter defense is a little shaky. Still, you have Robertson & Olajuwon, and could send out a pretty damn good defensive line up with - Hakeem, Sheed, Hawkins?, Robertson, & Isiah. The only problem there is how undersized your back court is. 8/10

Chemistry - the Barkley/Sheed dynamic scares the every loving **** out of me. Could they co-exist for more than a week without fighting? Hakeem was a bit of a hothead when he was younger, as well. Add in Zeke's firey passion, Iverson's temper & attitude, Robertson's temper (he has been arrested numerous times for domestic violence), and Penny's selfishness - this team is ready to implode! Drexler, Sabonis, Hawkins, & Richmond are in for a rough ride. 6/10

Durability - Olajuwon only topped 75 games 5 times in his career. Barkley always seemed to miss a handful of games. Alvin Robertson played most of his games. Sabonis only topped 70 games three times in his career. Zeke rarely missed games throughout his prime. Iverson missed several games every year. He only played 82 games twice, and only topped 70 five other times. Glenn Robinson missed more than his share of games. Hawkins never played a full season, & neither did Sheed. We all know Penny's problems. Drexler played throughout most of his prime, but missed a large amount of games in the second half of his career. Richmond is your only guy who consistently played a majority of his games, and even he had 2 seasons where he played under 50 games. The fact that you could have games where you only have 4 or 5 players worries me. 7/10

Depth - You have solid depth at the center position, as I think Sabonis could be a very good back up to Hakeem, and while he's on the floor would be a great time for Richmond, Drexler, Iverson, or Zeke to shine. Rasheed is a solid back up for Barkley, though you'll miss some of that rebounding. I don't remember if you said you would start Hawkins or Robinson, but I think you have to go Robinson. He's a 20 & 6 guy every night. That being said, Hawkins could more than adequately replace him, and vice versa. You don't lose much when you take Clyde out (offensively) because Mitch can shoot, Iverson can score, & Robertson could score. and if you put Alvin in, you gain defense. You also don't lose much at the point guard position, as Penny gives you an added dimension, though his defense wasn't as good as Zeke's. 9/10

Total - 39/50
