Offense - You have the most dominant big man since Wilt Chamberlain. You have one of the most skilled big men ever, in Gasol. You have extraordinary athleticism (Nique, G. Wallace, T-Mac, Chambers.) You have a point guard who would fit in perfectly with so much athleticism in Kidd, though he has never been a very good shooter. Your backups are, arguably, better than your starters at some positions (Chambers is better than Nance, McGrady is better than Allen..in their primes, at least.) I would assume your starters would be Shaq, Gasol, Nique, T-Mac/Allen, & Kidd. The only thing I worry about with your offense is - are there enough basketballs to go around? Several of your players are ball dominant players. What REALLY worries me is Shaq is a half court, pound it inside player. But, with Kidd,Hardaway, Nique, McGrady, Allen, Chambers, Nance, Ginobili, & Wallace, your team is built to run a lot. I have to knock off a point for that, but only 1 because..young Shaq could fall right into that game.9/10
Defense - prime Shaq was a great shot blocker. Larry Nance was a great interior defender. Gerald Wallace is a great defender. Kidd is solid, as is Allen. Hardaway was a good thief. McGrady COULD play defense when he wanted. Pau is average, at best. Nique, as well. The problem I see here is that outside of Nance, none of your guys really focus on defense. Without someone like a Garnett or Russell to motivate them, McGrady, Allen, Nique, & Hardaway likely won't try to play too hard on defense. Manu is a solid defender, but he's more of an off ball, jump passing lanes kind of defender. I worry that you're asking Shaq & Nance to do too much to protect the rim. 8/10
Chemistry - Shaq & Dominique...that's bad news. Not to mention, I think T-Mac & Hardaway will get fed up with coming off of the bench and not seeing too many shots. If you start T-Mac, Allen could have a problem with coming off the bench, as in his prime, he had somewhat of an ego (nothing bad, he just wanted his shots.) I think Manu & Gasol would have no problem coming off the bench, but I can't get over Shaq & Dominique trying to co-exist. 8/10
Durability - Shaq never played every game in a season, and only topped 75 three times. Dominique rarely missed games. Allen has had a few unhealthy years. Gasol has missed several games a couple of times. Tim Hardaway had the bad knee injury, but didn't miss games consistently until later in his career. Jason Kidd has always seemed to miss a handful of games every year. Same with G. Wallace. We all know T-Mac's history. Tom Chambers rarely missed games. Nance often missed a handful of games. Manu has never played a full season, but he's only missed considerable time once. Still, too many of your best players have missed games every season. 7/10
Depth - You don't really have a backup center. If you put Gasol at center, he will get owned by most other teams' centers. Your power forward spot is very solid. Your small forward spot is solid, with 'Nique & Wallace, though Elie doesn't help much. Shooting guard is by far your best position, with two of the best shooting guards of the past decade, and the best 6th man of the past 20 years. Not much drop off at the point guard position, even though they are both very different - Kidd will move the ball around, Hardaway wants to shoot and penetrate. I like Kidd better for this team, though, as Hardaway doesn't really fit in with Nique, T-Mac, Ginobili, or Shaq..they all need the ball in their hands to be effective. Still, I can't overlook how stacked you are at PF & SG. 8/10
